Blake maybe a number of things but a no-hoper ?!!

Hmmm I will have to think about that. Besides He can still make it in doubles as few of the top singles players do not play doubles.

I dont really like Roddick all that much , but even a blind man can see that he has far more potential than that no hoper Blake, after all he has won a slam and did get to the grand final this year at wimbledon. Blake doesnt even look capable of getting to a GF of any slam, and if he does it will only be because all of the better seeded players fell over!

Re:JAMES BLAKE IS HERE TO STAY Reply to this message
hello...

then this raises a question , Is Blake satisfied to be where he's at ?. A change of coach can either help Blake or hinder him (probably help). But at 29 he's got nothing to loose.

Re:JAMES BLAKE IS HERE TO STAY Reply to this message
IYO of course ZB I and many others think otherwise. Roddick "a higher degree of talent"...that's a laugh. Blake will be fine doing what he loves and that is playing tennis. He certainly doesn't need your support that is for sure.

Nic...HYes he has had the same coach for many years. He is comfortable with him and that is his choice not to change.

Re:JAMES BLAKE IS HERE TO STAY Reply to this message
Hello... James Blake could learn a lot from the example Roddick has set over the past 7 months.

It must have took a lot soul searching to get there, but Roddick has had the guts and the motivation to realize that his career was basically in a rut, so he has made major changes, beginning with the switch of hiring Larry Stefanki as coach. This relationship has reaped some results over the past several months which shows how succesful it's been so far.

Blake, on the other hand to my knowledge, has been with the same coach his whole life. Perhaps as such he feels a sense of obligation and loyalty to him. But whatever the story might be, Blake is clearly slipping in the rankings, and therefore his results has been very average. Like Roddick, he needs changes if he wants to make acheive results in the later part of his career.

"Finally I suppose the fact that he's black in a predominately white sport makes him stand out from the pack." What a racist remark Twisted. The colour of his skin has nothing to do with it. Cooments like that are not called for. Look at the trouble that Hewitt got into a few years back. Race, religion & politics have no place in sport

Re:JAMES BLAKE IS HERE TO STAY Reply to this message
grsdyney you fool - Why don't you say what you REALLY feel?

It's apparent you have the hots for James Blake.

So he's the 2nd highest ranked player in the US after Roddick big faaaarking deal. I can tell you that he's not news material outside of the US. Finally I suppose the fact that he's black in a predominately white sport makes him stand out from the pack.

Re:JAMES BLAKE IS HERE TO STAY Reply to this message
Ahhh grsydney. It's not strictly true. The focus will definetly be on James especially if his hardcourt season in America and Canada follows the trends of his recent departure's at RG and wimbly. The average American fan and press will be shouting: RETIRE JAMES BLAKE much like they do here with Hewitt, albeit Hewitt has -for the moment anyway - silenced critics with his great run reaching the quarterfinals at Wimbly.

Re:ANDY RODDICK WILL WIN THE U.S OPEN ! Reply to this message
so He is #17 . there is absolutely no reason why you say the focus is on him. His future is tennis will be what he says. he says he is happy to go on as long as he can so like it or lump to the cirtics. As I have said before go pick on someone else those that are complaining. What they say will have absolutely no effect.

Re:ANDY RODDICK WILL WIN THE U.S OPEN ! Reply to this message
because of late Blake has had to endure early exits at the Grand slams and the recent davis cup defeats. At 29 you have to wonder what his tennis future will be should Blake go out early in the open. Get this - I am neither a fan or anti-Blake.
