| Oh Come on?! Federererer's going to win, grsydney. I really can't see what Roddick can do to hurt him other than kick him in the shins as they are posing for the photographs before the warm up |

| Nicolina dear I know what youre saying. Federererer until he beats his great rival Rafa Nadal whose still the number one player, in one or two Grand slams (especially the French) cannot exactly "go down" as GOAT. |

I think Federer will go down as the greatest ever.
It should be a thrilling Wimbledon Final.
Roddick has certainly lifted his game. Never been a fan merely because i always thought he had a serve and little else but he has been playing great Tennis recently. |

| I really believe Roger wouldn't win FO.....but as a huge nadal fan also I cant be sure about Nadal wining Wimbledon. I still believe Federer would have had the edge on grass just as rafa has the clear edge on clay.....so I am a rafa fan but still think that we cant take anything away from Roger's wimbeldon performance....but that final between Roddick and Federer could be over in staright sets as Fed record against Roddick is HUGE.....and as well right now when it comes to slams there is no such a thing of TOP 4 OR TOP 5 there is only TOP 2 to be honest |

Exactly right.
there is always a successor to the King. And era's do come and go. Plus the game is always evolving. Nowadays it's the domain of the baseliners. |

| I don't think any player can ever be called the Greatest. Federer is brilliant but looking at the history of tennis there have been many as good in their time and style of the game. I can think of many names of players who held top positions for a lengthy period and who were just as good as Federer. Right now he is the King but his time will pass and name replaced by another Prince waiting in the wings. I admire all who play the game with the right attitude, win or lose. |

| Though Rafa is a fantastic player, it is looking more like that knees maybe his demise as he gets older and the stress of playing so many matches. |

Hello....Rafa's isn't "the one challenging" AT PRESENT.
Hello....Rafa is currently recovering from tendonitis.
Hello.... Worst case scenerio Rafa may never fully be
recovered or if the knees heel
will be out of tennis for 2 months.
May not recover for the U.S. Open in time.
Hello... Goodbye Man. |

| Roger is the one "setting the bar" Nadal is the one challenging, but at a cost physically. Roger's ability to avoid injury has definitely helped his cause - but his natural ability and style of play are the main reason for lack of "wear and tear" leading to injury. e.g. Hewitt has been playing a similar length of time, but without the same level of ability he has had to push himself a lot harder hence his hip problem.Roddick's style of play with the emphasis on power has led to injuries due to stress of shot (and sometimes clumsiness). |

Hello...
No How can he be "setting the bar" , if he's sidelined with injured knees and may be out of tennis for another 5-6 weeks or even longer? |

I have to agree - Federer is playing out a bit like bradman. Rivalries are what make tennis, as is quality tennis - even if it is a little onesided.
Nadal is taking the game to Roger, who just happens to be setting the bar. Funny enough he is having some success, but it is coming at a cost.
It is not Roger or Rafa's fault that they can do this, however. The others need to lift their game. |

I lovethe way Roger and Rafa carry themselves. I don't believe abusing umpires and ball boys like, McEnroe or Roddick, is good for the game.
Intense rivalries and top level tennis, that is the key.
You may see Rafa and Federer's dominance as boring, I see it is historical. People will talk about these 2 for decades to come, and when I'm 80, I'll be able to tell my grand kids all about it.
I bet there were people who thought Bradman making century after century was boring and bad for cricket too - the history books and his legacy say otherwise. |

"Although I do hope Roger wins though".
WTF for ?!! Tennis needs dynamics and new personalities like McEnroe, to get away from overrated stereotypes like Federer and Nadal.
Jeez when are you people ever going to realize it?!! |

I guess fans of Serena and Venus will be excitied - but I doubt the general tennis world will be salivating over the match.
If they produce a high standard game, and if it goes to a long 3 setter, maybe it will help the women's game.
But I think the women's draw needs a Hingis, Henin or Graf style talent in there. Right now, Safina and co. just don't bring in the fans. |

I'm sure it will be a great final, especially if
murray makes it, the poms will be over the moon!!!!!Although I do hope Roger wins though. As for the Williams sisters ,I wouldnt be surprised if Venus takes that out as she is looking pretty good so far! |

The better question will be will it be a classic final?
Also what will the television ratings be for it in the USA especially. Womens tennis hasn't exactly been exciting without Sharapova, Henin or Clijsters. |
