| M.O.N. He is always wrong and hates it when people dont agree with his opinionated opinion. He quote Lavers as saying Federer is not the greatest player of all time. What ZB doesn't do is say why he said that. It is called selective reading. Laver said no to the question as he doesn't believe in the question in the first place. He then went on to say that you cannot compare tennis in his era and tennis now. They are different as chalk and cheese. He does call him the greatest tennis player of the modern era and I guess we can all then say that Laver was the best of his era. Someone pointed out below about Laver playing mostly on grass and Grand Slams were 3/4 on grass then. Again you cannot compare his achievements with anyone of the modern era as everyting is different now. Rackets, courts, even travel. Lets face his early trips to teh US or Europe were made by SHIP. As usual you talk s.h.i.t. ZB and yes you hate been proven wrong |

| i knew this was bound to happen once RF won RG. The GOAT debate is rearing it's ugly head yet again...and again...and again. Not just here but all tennis websites. Don't tennis fans have anything more to discuss and talk about? I am considering staying away from the messageboards (particularly this one) until the start of wimbledon. | So when someone disagrees with you, you resort to name-calling? I know Rocket didn't play Slams between 63 and 68. And I know you only have to beat whoever is at the other end. But you can not deny that the opposition and conditions are a lot tougher in the 21st century than when Laver was running around with a wooden racquet. |
