| If you check my WHO WILL WIN THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN? thread I opened with tipping Del Potro to win it.Del Potro will win something big in the next 12 months.I watched Nadal beat him at Indian Wells earlier in the year and he simply needs to keep his composure on the big points.Incredibly fast around the court for a guy 6ft 6 ins tall. |

""You are right he hasnt got the best game yet, but he is just 20 and theres lots of room for improvement. Lots of players do what he does and stay at the back so whats new?
He has potential I think and seems more serious about playing tennis than other latin american players apart from Gonzalez..
He makes a match enjoyable and thats important isnt it?
Am looking forward to this semi""
Very true peenpong, anyone who gets to the top 10 at a very young age must have a lot of potential and drive to do so. Of the latin american players I do like Gonzales style of play the best when he's hot he's very ""freaky"". I suppose I have always liked the serve/volley style the best ( I started watching when Pat Cash started playing), you don't see too much of that around lately, but I admire players like Federer who do come into the net and still play great shots. Apart from Rafa, who is just a fantastically gifted player, there arent really many baseliners that I like to watch as I personally find that type of game a little öne dimensional |

the big hurt indeed...
Very mediocre. 6 3 6 3
Del showed no signs of the player who has just beaten Murray.
Serve not good.
Federer did not even break into a sweat.
Obviously Federer will be fresher than Nadal tomorrow so thats an advantage.
Del Potro made a lot of unforced errors and didnt take advantage of the few chances he had.
So its the usual tomorrow. 11 a.m my time .. your night time maybe midnight with you...
Will you be seeing the final or do you want me to tell you about it?
If you cannot watch it... dont cry
There are two kinds of teardrops... oooh dear....
Isnt it divine without you know who? |

peenpong
just found out the score.
Federer defeated Del Potro, 6-3,6-4.
I think it wasn't long ago that ZedStar predicted Del Potro
would become a great player and be kicking Federer's rear end.
How wrong he was, lol.... |

| I was looking forward to seeing del potro at the AO, but I was very dissappointed with him and his style of play. I suppose I'm just not keen on players who just try to stand at the back of the court and use their big '"wingspan"to get the balls back. I'd rather watch players like Federer who uses all of the court or Nadal who puts so much in every shot and ultimately gives 120% every time he plays. But it will be interesting to see whether Del Potro can improve his game from last time he played Federer, but from what I saw last time I can't see it happening yet. |

yes he is and the way that he played that last set against Roddong he is going to be untouchable except for Rafa..abnd who knows what will happen there.
DP I think has to now consolidate his position and then look at moving on up. He is the only playersof those pushing that will achieve this..certainly not Roddicck or Simon that is for sure. Fed is now 18/2 H2H with Roddick and it will only get more. |

No. What sort of player is he?
I seen him maybe twice. He lost badly to Roger Federer at the Australian this year. Is Federer playing Del Potro next? |

What a great match Del Potro played today.
He has played a lot of great tennis over the last six months but not a word from anyone..
Did anybody see the match between him and Murray?
He kept his cool and came up with the goodies when required...
And he doesnt swear.... whatever next? |
