| Yes it sure can and Just because Roddong beat Monfils last year. so can Monfils defeat Roddong this year. He is a different player and also has a dfiferent coach. But you only think about one player although on one of the other threads you say Murray will win. Typical where is your spuuport for Roddong. |

| So was Cilic and Murray took him apart.Roddick beat Monfils the last time they met.And Andy has improved since then.Soderling destroyed Nadal.Kohlschreiber made mince meat of Djokovic.Anything can and will happen. |

I wish you would be careful when you make statements like that.
Monfils is a very talented player and cannot be underestimated. |

What Murray/Djokovic do or might do is not the subject of this thread,

If that semifinal eventuates, Djokovic would have a decisive
psycological edge as he's beaten Federer twice this year.
It could be the match of the tournament. |

When you look at the way Djokovic and Federer have played over the European clay court season, you would have to say that Djokovic is the stronger of the two.
I know Federer has won a title but really, look at the condition of the competition he had on the day! Hardly fresh after the longest ATP 1000 match in history?
Djokovic has had better all round results and if they should meet in the SF, then I think it will be Djokovic who will move ahead to the finals.....
He has been playing very well, running down everything in sight and hitting the ball with more regularity and precision than Federer. He also seems to be in superior physical condition also at the moment.....
But time will tell...... |

Last night was a good solid match and should give him some added confidence on top of his win in Madrid |

As they say let the racket do the talking |

grsydney, I am not aware of what you mean by "usual bravado" in the press.
Hasn't Novak made it a point of keeping it quiet this year.
Give him some credit for that at least. |

i that happens Phil it will be a different mroe confident Federer that he will find on the other side of the net. And actually I think Joko wont be looking forward to it despite his usual bravado in a press conference.
as for Murray you are so right |

I'm very much looking forward to a Djokovic and Federer SF. In fact, probably everyone is except Federer. I bet even Djokovic is relieved, since he won't have Nadal until the final.
Nadal does some competition with Ferrer and Wawrinka both adequate clay-court players.
Despite his ranking, I think there are several people in Murray's quarter who are superior to him on clay. Of the four top guns, Murray is the most vulnerable. |

| Fortunately Mr Know It All there are millions fo fans out there who appreciate Federer for what he has given to this great sport. I hardly think your isolated commetn is going to make one bit of difference. Just learn to accept a great player when you see one |
