Hello...
"Had it gone to a five setter I would have put my money on Roddick".
peenpong I don't know about that as Roddick had a long 4 hour quarterfinal match against Hewitt. |

To fans of Andy "Muzza" Murray -
This is not going to be his last opportunity to win Wimbledon, as he is 22 years old, it's very disappointing result but he was beaten by a player who played a strategic wise perfect game. This is his first ever Wimbly semifinal is a fine result. Also he has improved his grasscourt game.
If he continues on improving during the U.S hardcourt season then a win at flushing meadow can not be too far away.
Keep the faith in him.

Del Potro has had a bit of a go on grass, is playing reasonably well and the draw has opened up a little on his side.
If he is on a 'streak' he might be able to command enough of the middle of the court to pressure Murray to pass, I think murray is too inconsistent/weak in pressure passing situations and this might be his undoing against Del Potro.
But he has to beat Hewitt first, and I think Hewitt's ability to pass accurately under pressure will undo JDP. |

| Murray is doing fine.He is progressing almost as well as Nadal was apart from Nadal's dominance at the French. The good thing is that his style is not as self-damaging as Nadal's. |

A better question should be: Can Andy Murray make it to the semi-finals?
His Grand Slam record so far hasn't been impressive apart from USO 08. |

hello...
i really would love to see Andy Murray win Wimbledon as
he can be very exciting player to watch. But he plays hot and cold and as such will put the British audience through a rollercoaster. I watch him playing at Wimbledon last year against Richard Gasquet where he came from 2-0 to win five sets. Then the next match
he played badly and lost to Nadal three sets to zero. |

yes that's correct. But - you need to bear in mind they've all been either ATP matches or at exhibitions.
It's a completely different playing in the Grand Slams and a lot more at stake as well. So far the only time they have played in a GS - in last years U.S. Open final - Muzza lost really badly to Federerererer in straight sets. |

Vince baby
Yes, its been a long time.. females apart. The last time the Brits had a winner was 1936...
stop laughing all of you
I respect everything that has been said by all of you BUT
Do you remember the first time Murray beat Federer (before his debilitating illness). He absolutely thrashed Federer in three sets I think.. making Federer look like an amateur. He said the day before... I shall have to play my very best ever tennis if I am to beat Federer... Well, he did..
I have mentioned this before.. it isnt what you do, its the way you do it. It could have been a fluke, but he has beaten Federer since..
Thank you for responding to my lonely thread at last..
I hope you all enjoy Wimbledon.. |

You are spoiling my beautiful lady's thread now, tsk tsk.
peenpong - you can definetly count me in as amongst the fans that would love to see Andy "Muzza" Murray take out the Big W.
He'll be the first Brit since Virgina Wade in 1977 to do so. |

Agreed about Djokovic. He has been in a decline fro some time now and doesn't sseem to be able to get out of it. He needs to regorup himself as he is in realy trouble right now.
I agree with you about Del Potro.. He is the only one of the new top ten players that is consistantly showing his worth. You can't put Roddick in the same catagory at alll. He has been around for longer than one cares to remember. All this talk about the new Roddick and new outlook. No one has seen any of it yet. |

Lol - maybe not exactly the next Djokovic i suppose. I'd actually will play through to the end of the game if he is losing. Can't say the same for the Djoker
Djokovic seems to be on the wane to me. Del Potro might be a player to watch out. Roddick too. |
