| what a stupid expression that is - ONE SLAM WONDER. I think I first heard it 10 years ago meant for Micheal Stich. Well grsydney. I reckon It's better to be a one slam wonder than a NO SLAM WONDER! Plenty of candidates of players who had the potential but could not win a Slam, i.e. Rios, Leconte, Hlasek, etc and not forgetting James Blake. |

| We can all have our likes and dislikes. I just dont like Roddicks style or his behaviour. That is my choice. I have many players that I follow and enjoy following. However I stand by my comment there is no comparison between Roddick and Agassi. Sure they both won the US,played Davis Cup and been #1 but the thing is Agassi was NOT a one Grand Slam wonder which He will be. Agassi won plenty and he still plays some extraorinary tennis as was shown in the Wimbledon exhibitions last weekend. |

| I think Roddick's best chance is really at the U.S. open. Also he's definetly got the game to win other ATP titles during the U.S. hardcourt season. But Wimbledon? No can't see that happening. I wonder what is it about Andy Roddick that grsydney intensly dislikes? |

| Thank you philaw1969,not for agreeing with me but for aknowledging the truth of a fair argument.I might also add that both Roddick and Agassi each played the first part of their careers in the shadow of another great player,namely Federer and Sampras respectively.And of course Roddick has been number one before and has been rated in the top ten longer than any current active player. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Come to think of it. Agassi's tennis career turned around remarkably back in 1999 after separating from Brooke and falling in love with Steffi Graf. He was 29 then so there is still hope for Roddick. The guy deserves some credit - as does Stefanki - for the hard yards that he's put in since the partnership started 6-7 months ago. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jeffrey R ,naughty ,naughty,naughty.You are letting your bias against my favourite player,Andy Roddick cloud the real facts of the matter at hand.Andy does deserve to be compared to Andre from the point of view that both are former world number ones,both are U.S Open winners,both have given great service to playing Davis Cup for America and last but probably the most important,both have adjusted their game style late in their career.Agassi did this so successfully that he went on to win 5 more Slams [out of a total of 8]and become number one in the world.And he was 2 years older than Roddick when he changed his game.Roddick has the ability to win more Slams with his current coach Larry Stefanki bringing many positives to Andy's game already. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| well they share the same first name don't they, lol. peenpong as i and also others have stated to you before - there is other messageboards that you can join with if you want to and they are different (where you would not have to tolerate "cretins" as you put it). I have recently joined the tennis armada I am very impressed with the site and extra options available. There's a saying - don't just put all the eggs in one basket. |

| yes that is true. In 1999 after he parted with his first wife, Andre won the RG, reached the Wimbledon final, won the U.S. Open final. Does Roddick have it in him to do likewise. I DON'T THINK SO. |
