I watched it, and was enthralled. Well done to Roddick, gutsy effort and oh so close!
For most of that 5th set Roddick looked the man most likely, but Federer has won 15 GS titles for a very good reason - he is very farken good!
Not as good a final as last year, but that 5th set was brilliant - a great show of serving by both men. |

Man, Andy will be having nightmares about that second set tie-break for the rest of his life. That was a bigger choke than Rafter against Sampras in 2000.
Congrats to Federer, but I'm not upset that I didn't stay up to watch it. Over four hours, I would have been useless for the rest of the week with that kind of sleep deprivation. |

congrats to fed for his win, but after seeing andy play tonight he really should have been the one to take the trophy away. He has improved heaps and will certainly be a contender for the US Open.
BTW Vince - the reason for seeds is to "seed" the draw. It is impossible/impractical to have joint #1 seeds. |

| Without wishing to take anything away from Federer's historical win, I think it's significant he has benefited by Rafa's absence, who he had lost badly at last years French, last years epic WIMBLEDON and the '09 Australian. At the very least the US Open should accord Rafa (if he plays the tournament) and Roger joint number 1 seeds. |

GAME SET MATCH ROGER FEDERER 5-7,7-6,7-6,3-6,16-14 in 4 hours 17 minutes, the second longest final in Wimbledon history.
Womens Tennis does not deserve equal prizemoney. |

Federer up 2 sets to 1 but Andy's 3 games to 1 in the fourth.
Andy's got a chance to get back into the match. Incredibly Andy has not lost any of his service gamnes. Credit to his great service rhythm. |

Oh no...
Andy has blown it - really blown a golden opportunity for 2 sets to love lead. The tone of the match is changing to Federer. Andy's got to keep himself together. |
