Nadal at the moment is 12735
He will lose 2000 making him 10735
Federer is no0w 10620 take off his poitns from last year
makes him 9220. Add on semi final this year (1200) makes him 10420 at the semi finals.
If he goes on and wions he gets another 800 points taking him to 11220
YES ZB how we all would love that. Better get used to choking as he could well be back at #1 on Sunday |

According to my calculations Federer will be #1 if he should win the final which everyone with the exception of ZB and all his useless allias's hope to be the case.
GO ROGER
As for Roddong getting past Murray. There is no hope in hell |

Federer if he wins Wimbledon will be only some 90 points behind Nadal.
I am not sure whether Nadal will lose enough points relative to last year for Fed to be No1 by the next revision, but it might answer the op and prove Z wrong yet again. |

Women's tennis, like the men's game a decade ago, is rubbish. I will watch the odd game, but they are hrdly inspiring! (Especially with the bloody Williams brothers dominating!).
I used to love watching the likes of Hingis and Graff playing 'chess' tennis - thinking their way through a match.
Now it is all power and grunting! I hated it when the men were all serve-volley-serve-volley too, at least they have evolved into a more enjoyable style. |

only in the mens draw...
although I could hardly blame you if you didn't realise there was a womens draw as well. What a snoozefest. If it wasn't for the grunting and the "sex on Centre" issues, the womens game would be non-existent. |

Not sure if he'll be number one again but the headlines this morning are that he's stormed into the semis.
zedthretard, what does the dark ages of the Federer domination mean exactly and why do you have it in for this guy so much, he's an out and out champion. |

| But, while this hasn't been the most exciting Wimbledon ever, it has now thrown up a couple of juicy semi finals and, possibly, an interesting final. |

Many would say Roddick is no chance of beating Federer?
By many, you mean 'everyone on Earth that isn't you, Roddick himself or Roddick's mum'? Even then, I have a feeling Roddick and his mum have their doubts.
Haas will be a tough match, he is playing well. He'll need to overcome his mental frailty though, and Federer would need to be a little off his game.
For the final, if Federer gets there, only Murray could beat him - but, again, he'd need to play the match of his life! |

| To do this he will have to get over the top of Tommy Haas who is playing his brains out.Of course Haas has just beaten world number 4 Djokovic for the 2nd time on grass in as many weeks.A little bit of payback might be in store for letting his French Open semi final against Federer slip from his grasp after leading 2 sets to love.If Fedex can beat Haas then he will have to play either Andy Murray or Andy Roddick in the final. Many will say Roddick doesn't have a chance against Federer but all it takes is a couple of crucial points to swing Andy's way and you never know.Murray on the other hand has some recent victories over Federer but not in 5 set deciders.Murray would need to get it over quickly to have a realistic chance given Federer's experience in Slam finals. If Federer does do all this then he deserves to be number one again. |

| I think it will be Federer himself who flattens his own hopes for a 15th title!!! The pressure of it all will prove too much just like it does if he comes up against Djoko or Murray , the latter of which will more than likely be the winner this year!! |

| As I have said a million times Fedex is not playing with the same authority he had 18 months ago.If anyone of note gets 2 sets ahead of him this time he will lose. His get out jail card free has run out.He got very lucky at the Australian Open and the French Open.Del Potro and Murray will be waiting for him and maybe Roddick too. |

oh yes thanks for reminding me. that Caroline Wozniacki from denmark is quite an attractive bird and got a great game too. Hope she wins Eastbourne tomorrow.
BTW there's been a programming change regarding the 2008 Mens final replay on Fox sports 2. It will now be screened from 12:30 am to 5:30 am in it's entirity. |
