That would be great skip. I have to rely on channel 10 news and sports tonight as its the best chance i have to see any tennis. Then all I get is the point, usually the last shot, played to win the match. Which can quite often be a "spectacular" wild forehand well over the baseline to give the opponent the match. If your lucky you might see one or two good shots.

Bernie - I don't know how you do it without Fox Sports! I couldn't stand it when the Olympics were on and was so happy SBS decided to show the gold medal match. If you like, I'll tape some matches for you.

If they both play to the best of their abilities, and the draw puts them opposite sides to each other, we would be highly likely to see a ROGER-RAFA final in the last 2 Masters titles as well as the Masters Cup.

Those matches would be some real corkers. Nadal has to overcome Federer's hardcourt advantage. He has beaten him on there before but Nadal does have a bit of mental edge at the moment. It would be great to see how Federer plays to combat that

We almost had another Rafa-Roger final at the US Open but Rafa was overcome by Murray. I had been hoping that the rain delay would have benefitted Rafa so he could have come back to win the semi but unfortunately, it was not to be.

So here's to the AO and a possible re-match! I just love watching those two play - both such fine athletes and when they play each other it is such a treat.

Hey, we might even get to see them play each other before then anyway...

That would be a great match. Rafa has been the only one to dethrone Roger at Wimbledon. There has only been one at the Australian Open who has preventing him winning the crown all but when he sick early this year. Marit Safin was the only one. Federer beat Safin in 2004 to take the title but then in 2005, Marit knocked Roger off in what was a great semi-final match. After beating Federer, Safin then went on to put the cleaners through Hewitt.

"It won't be Hewitt that's for sure. He'll be lucky to make the cover of the Australian Women's Week in January."

Hahahaaha..........I'd have to agree with that comment!!!Although his wife doesnt have any problems getting on the front cover!!But she's a lot better looking than poor ol' Lleyton and we all know what these mags are like. Happy in love one week and then heading for the divorce courts by the next magazine!!!

Not a big fan a Djokovic len but I hope his "little" brother upstages him. What's Novak going to do then if he gets beaten by an unseeded player who has just started on the tour. A virtual no name. Poor bloke. He wont know where to turn.

"Watch out for Del Potro. After he wipes Nadal off the face of the Earth in the Davis Cup final he will be full of confidence at the OZ Open.Andy Murray will be in for a big one as well.Federer is gone."

Sadly like Martina Hingis was career poison to any ATP player she dated, you are the same poison for any player that you tell folks to watch out for. Perhaps it is a great thing that you don't like Roger.

Let's see how your predictions for 2009 pan out.

Remember all the fuss made in January this year about Guccione, Dellacqua and Tsonga after a couple of good tournaments? Guccione knocked out first round in the AO and done NOTHING of note since. Dellacqua petered out for maybe all but one tournament afterwards. Tsonga...well let's just say he has had his time in the sun given his injury prone body.

Best to wait a year or so before tipping a currently "hot form" player before making an assessement and big calls about them winning all and sundry.

"Federer managed to sneak through to his 13th slam win but I don't think he did it all that easy. The rest of field has rapidly closed in and I really don't see him getting to another final."

Oh come on ZB - all of this year it was how Roger was finsihed and would never win another GS tournament, now it's that he won't make another final. You change your position like the wind changes direction. Mats Wilander never saw him winning another GS title either, yet Mats got a good cup of STFU from Roger.

Btw, no GS tournament is easy to win. To win seven matches over once - let alone over and over - is hard to do. Most players can't even consistently win four or five (given byes) in the smaller tournaments, yet RF has been in 17 of the last 18 GS finals, and 18 straight semis. Shows the skill, talent and mental strength of this man.

Rest of the field closing in: who, like Djokovic and Murray (#3 and 4 in rankings)? Wow. If this is the case, could you tell me how many sets Rpger lost to each of them in the US Open this year? And don't even try the "tired" excuse for each player. They have been around long enough to condition themselves properly.

As for A-Rod...the guy had an easy tournament with chumps until he hit Djokovic - someone who can actually return the serve and rally. No such thing as A-game for A-rod anymore. A single win against RF early in 2008 means nothing. Compare RF's results this year to Andy's. I would take RF's any day. Cripes, even Hewitt had a way lesser game at his peak than Andy, yet has managed to win a second GS singles title to show the first wasn't entirely "lucky".

From what I've seen of Djokovic recently ,he will have to lift his game a couple of notches. There are a couple of red hot players who are coming through.

I hope that Djokervic comes through again to win the Oz open, hopefully though he'll meet Federer in the final and wipe him off the court.

Federer managed to sneak through to his 13th slam win but I don't think he did it all that easy. The rest of field has rapidly closed in and I really don't see him getting to another final.I was correct in tipping Murray to make the final and I believe Del Potro will win big very soon.Andy Roddick got his game going pretty well though sadly he had a meltdown serving for the 4th set against Djokovic.A-Rod has got to learn to keep it together mentally for the big points.Djokovic is a great player who will win many more than he loses but he needs to lighten up or the fans will turn on him.My tip for the OZ Open is Juan Martin Del Potro .
