I don't understand, the guy obviously hates losing, and you hate him for it?
I knwo you guys don't like people putting cr@p on other players, unless they are players that you don't like. But I'll take Djokovic's "I'm here to beat you and I'm not going to hide it" over Roger's boring rubbish everyday of the week.
Fed's still one of my all-time favourites, but he's in the Sampras class of conservative. Guys like Djokovic make the game more interesting. |

Yes I did remember that. For ungracious player that he is. Even in victory. I believe the words were
"Im glad I won though you were cheering for the other guy..."
Quite infantile. The funny musings , impersonations are just for show. I can a tell a fake a mile away.
To your downfall, Novak. |

| There is no comparison Bernie. Nadal is a true champion just like Federer and a credit to the sport. No trumpet blowing. |

Can you remember what Djokovic was like after he won his first grand slam. It wasn't such a big thing under the conditions that he won it. He had his trumpet though.
It was a bit of a different story when Rafa won the Wimbledon title off Federer this year. Very humble for such a champion player. |

| I think No(not the thought of another loss)vak is in big trouble. Mentally and physically. Mainly the first. He just looked like an average player going of to play a game that he really didn't want to play. His attitude has caught up with his game big time. Maybe loosing 250 poitns inToronto will give hima shake up...but I doubt it. |

Well Geoff, Safin didn't get the chance to beat 'the number 3 player in the world' but Andy Murray stepped up to the plate nicely.
It seems that Novak, who last year beat #1, #2 and #3 to take the shield only barely managed this year to get past #49 (the Sod) and #82 (Dancevic) before he was stopped by Mr. Murray.....
I am wondering what will happen next week in Cincinatti - he has Simon, Kiefer, Wawrinka, Blake, Berdych, Gonzo, Lopez etc. Yet he is on Nadal's side again.... ugh |

| You may as well drop it ZB. It's not a matter of whether your going to win or lose. Show us some of your knowledge in the tennis world. Start providing facts in regards to your comments on the tournaments and players currently playing on the ATP. Unless you want to put a raquet in Norman's hand. Maybe get him to play the mixed doubles for the United States at the Olympics with his new wife Chris Evert. He does spend a lot of his time over there and may have dual citizenship. When you put the request in his hand though, make sure he plays left handed. A right handed golfer will generally make a much better tennis player if he plays left handed. |

Actually we don't need to hear from you PP. Copping out on the known fact that norman is mentally flaky when it comes to crucial moments in a tournament? Nope. Again, doesn't matter what age you are if history (over a long period) shows that at various points of his life he got to the same stage, yet sadly made a mess of it on the last day, the one that mattered.
No sh.it he appeared happier than in recent years given his life has been well publicised and such events are exceptionally stressful. I do agree it would have been incredible if he won it, however he didn't. Again the same affliction hit him - being unable to put it away after three days of stellar, untouchable play. What do you call his last day at the 1996 Masters other than a choke?
If my fact about him losing 1 for 7 is incorrect, then show me where this is not. Again, most folk on these boards know you don't answer questions or do research, so again my question to you will be pointless. |

| Boy ,what a sad cop-out,you shouldn't have even pretended you were speaking on behalf of KNOWN FACTS about Greg Norman's so called collapses in final rounds. He's nearer 10 years older than most players are when they are competing well let alone almost winning the whole thing. It was obvious the guy appeared happier than he had for years and it would have been unbelievable if he had pulled it off.He did himself and Australia proud.WE don't need to hear from you mate.Go away. |

And somehow I get criticism for a comment I didn't write - rather what you PP were wishing I had written.
What about the incredible effort of a player who has ruled the tennis world for 4+ consecutive years? When Roger comes (what could be considered) third with a semi final loss in a major tournament in 2008, the talk isn't of a bad tournament during his peak years, it is talked about as his downfall...his career in decline...the end of his dominance!
People don't give him the credit for what he has done and is still achieving, they "just slash out with their jealous comments. Boy, they are sad cases" much like you PP. |

"wondered what sort of people would slam the incredible effort by a 53 year old Greg Norman to come third in the British Open.Don't give him the credit that most people are giving him ,just slash out with your jealous comments.Boy,you are a sad case mate."
PP-- Haha, nice try. I didn't slam the effort of Greg Norman - in no way did I. Again, show me where I hammer his result and effort? Why don't you use the age comparison against Novak as I mention him in my post too.
I am just stating what is a known fact about Greg Norman's results in big tournaments when it really mattered. So far career wise he is 1 for 7 when leading on the final day of one of the golfing majors. Granted that two of the tournaments were lost to freakish shots by his opponents, that makes it 1 for 5.
Age has nothing to do with it. When he was in his prime he blew a six shot lead at the Masters to lose by five shots. It was a great effort for three days by Norman this year, however once again look at his massive fade away again on the final day. Only difference this year is that nobody expected him to even get that close. |
