After all, it is a form of cheating to attack someone off the ball. |

| The first time I saw it I said 10 weeks, and I still think the same thing. In fact, I see ten weeks as a minimum. Yes, Hall was provoked. So what? The AFL has set a precedent with incidents such as this in the past, and this one should be treated no differently. |

| Hall should be suspended for many weeks, if not the whole season, but (and I offer this as no excuse for his actions, but quite possibly a reason) just look at those closely marked players such as Hall and see exactly what provocation they get, including hitting and grabbing the groin, pinching arms and backs, knees and elbows, etc, all of which happen whilst umpires and TV cameras are following the ball many metres away. The man Hall flattened immediately after dropping Staker has given Michael O'Loughlin the treatment often in the past. Finally, if Anthony Mundine could hit like that we might consider him to be a genuine fighter. Just a thought. |
