| with a bit of luck our plan B from Sunday will become our permament Plan A. Granted Port were poor but we did some very good things. It was a great combination of our best skills- we kept it tight at the stoppages but instead of having a cup of tea and scones while kicking it across the back line all day we took them on through the midfield and moved the ball quickly. Play like that and we will beat plenty of teams this year. Play like we did against St Kilda and well the season will be a long one Im afraid. |

Sounds dumb fella I must agree. Game plan maybe ??? .. they must stick to the game plan as it will fair better on most occasions than just trying something other than.
Me, I always like to have plan B & C ready and be prepared to unsettle the way the game is being played. That doesn't happen very often in todays game ... they always just seem to stick to a plan.
This is only a guess mind.
Was careful not to use the term "the plan" :) |

| How come they dont kick it long to Hall and O'Loughlin GT? How come? They do these pi.s.s.y little kicks to keep possession and by the time they get into range to kick it to 2 of the games best forwards their backline is full of opposition players. I saw about a half of this game and it was one of the worst I have seen. |

Swans players are spewing on the result of the game against the Saints. Skills (ball use) were down and they'd spent the pre-season honing those skills.
I didn't see the game so I can't comment on how or when it went wrong but the players are less than happy with the result. They are however happy with the endeavour & they are happy to come through the game relatively unscathed (except for a please explain from the AFL).
We need to knock off a couple of the fancied teams over the next month to boost and bolster comradeship. It will happen, so bring it on ! |
