Am happy 00 ... no good chasing the pack with this years list. With the retirements and 3 delisted players we should look like a new team, well kinda;)
I agree with those delistings btw ... we got those right. |

Brabazon, Laidlaw and Daniel O'Keefe have all been delisted.
Throw in Hall's trade, and the retirements of O'Loughlin, Barry and Crouch, and that's a major overhaul |

| Actually I take that back - word is this morning that the Jolly trade will only be authorised if the Swans can get Mumford. |

IMO, they should have started this rebuild a couple of years ago, but at least they've now recognised you can't keep putting band-aids on and hope to stop the bleeding.
I applaud the decision to ignore Fevola, and go for draft picks instead. Jesse White has the potential to be a very very good FF, maybe not in the Fev class but I'll take that in exchange for not having the off-field rubbish that Fev is seemingly addicted to.
Pity to see Jolly go, but if he doesn't want to stay harbourside then there's no point in keeping him. 1st and 3rd rd picks for him is a good deal for everyone I think.
Anything we got for Hall was a bonus, so happy days there too.
Sydney are probably still short a ruckman and, as always, a couple of running midfielders, but I think they might be done for this year's trade week. |
