| If the teams playing out at Homebush are going well you'll get big crowds, Tigers v Bulldogs 3rd last round in '05 drew 33,000, build another next door for 30,000 people |

Never been to Homebush so will have to rely on others. It doesn't sound ideal so don't go blaming Swans fans & members.
Cheer, Cheer the Red and the White
Honour the name by day and by night
Lift that noble banner high
Shake down the thunder from the sky
Whether the odds be great or small
Swans will go in and win over all
While her loyal sons are marching
Onwards to victory ! |

| homebush is a debacle, and monday night league games have been getting as little as 4000 I believe. They just need to justify the damn things existance post sydney2000 hence they have games out there. Remember waverly/vfl park? no different, will die a similar death probably.. |

I think the figures might be a bit higher than that, it just seems that small because capacity is 80 thou.
Still, 10 000 at Belmore would go a lot better than 10 thou out at Soulless Stadium. |

| A good NRL crowd out there is about 7,000 people usually there are about 4,000 people at each game (that is not based on any facts I have seen btw except for watching games on tv) |

Hopefully sports administrators in Sydney will wake up after this debacle.
They get rubbish crowds to league games at Homebush, and now they get rubbish crowds to AFL games at Homebush.
Singo was right, blow the thing up and never speak of it again. |

i agree, homebush is a piece of a.ss
you cant even get passouts there,
i mean whats up with that
ticket prices being $75 is absolutely
ridiculous and doesnt encourage anyone
to go out there and watch footy, let alone
taking a whole family, and paying the transport
out there too. that being said, the crowd
was pathetic and tasmanians would have embraced
that game alot more than sydney siders.
tasmania deserve a team so much more than
stupid west sydney. they dont like footy,
so get screwed |

then you haven't been to a game at all and that is rubbish. When they are "in" Sydney and not 1 hour away at H0m0bush, then it is a packed stadium with an awesome crowd that cheers and jeers when it is supposed to. However (and speaking as a member) I would prefer to drive to Manuka Oval at Canberra rather than catch public transport to H'Bush. It is a horrible stadium, no atmosphere, not close to the players, food is rubbish, the surface is cr@p, the stadium sounds hollow and basically the whole thing is a farce.
I always went to the SCg games, but rarely went to the others as ...well I think i explained my point above. |

| I was referring to sydney supporters in general, I have been to many games where they played and so many of their supporters seem to be disinterested and have very little clue about what is going on. |

| Sorry mate i forgot that in order for sydney supporters to turn up it needs to be sunny and warm, what else do you want a hotwater bottle, blanky and little umbrella, I and many thousands of other supporters are not bothered by rain but obviously you swanettes supporters are so weak that you are too scared to go to the game when the weather isn't perfect. I knew sydney supporters were pathetic and the fact that you have to resort to personal abuse confirms it. Grow a set of balls or follow a sport more suited to you like netball! |

| The dismal attendance by Sydney supporters at the final against North Melbourne shows how pathetic and disinterested sydney supporters are in their own team. I am sure however that should the swans make the grand final that many people will jump on the bandwagon and claim to be diehard supporters. If sydney supporters and followers of other interstate clubs wonder why there has been no indications of moving the grand final interstate they need only look at the lack of passion for not only their team but also AFL football that is shown in these places. |
