| I'm a Saints supporter and I think Nick Riewoldt is priceless. Even though his stats weren't flattering in today's GF he is an absolute workhorse. He never stops running hard, he chases and tackles hard and gives it everything he's got. Geelong often triple-teamed him in the GF today and I think that says it all about how good he is. I think the problem in today's GF were the missed opportunities. The Saints went inside 50 heaps in the first half and didn't make the most of their chances. The easier shots on goal that were missed cost them the flag in the end. As for Nick's status as an "overrated superstar" - I don't think it's even a valid question. Any team worth their salt would have him in a heartbeat. | yeap i am sick of it. i dont blame ross lyon. what we are now seeing is the legacy thomas and co left behind. at the end of the season lyon needs to get the axe out. players that need to go: 1) fiora - absolutely frustrating. the skill level is there, you can see it. problem is he never does anything during game day. time to offload him, 2) clarke brothers - i'm sorry they just havent matured since U18 days. raph aint worth a game in the reserves. xavier is just too soft, 3) dal santo - useless. to interested in the media, to interested in picking up easy possessions. trade bait. There are some players I have been impressed with this year and have really stepped up: 1) Blake, last couple of seasons he has really been frustrating. This year he's been great, 2) Clinton Jones, this guy is great. Needs more game time, better playing him than fiora or the clarkes, 3) M Gardiner, great pickup. just needs game time. As for Harvs and Gehrig both deserve to be in the starter side. Reiwolt has another year to prove his worth. Likewise Kosi. |
