| United had to take it easy against Victory crab, we've got bigger fish to fry. lol Sorry I missed this game, Adelaide paper suggested a free kick given to Adelaide was in fact a penalty. Can you shed any light? What about your spitting Brazilian? Robbie Conthwaite doesn't have a malice bone in his body so not sure why anyone would get upset with him. Gotta go to Sydney after Kashima, what a tough contact! |

I always love it when these two teams take on one another..a great rivalry that lives long i hope..
A great crowd once again...out of the mouth of jeff fenech 'i love ya's all'...
Honestly, at times the victory were and have played the kind of football that many had longed for in this country...great interpassing and linking up...comfortable on the ball...it's sweet.so sweet.
carn the victory... |

Good game at the Dome last night, it had a bit of everything, chances galore, early sending off, penalty-missed then tapped in, and some fairly good play.
I'll be back for more |

| Don't underestimate Adelaide. They are preparing for the Asian Champions League and are a very good side that is well drilled with a solid defence. |

Im a fan of Thompson - we could do with him at the Roar.
He is always ready to take defences on - a rare breed these days.
Victory over Adelaide this weekend, the rest is a lottery IMO |

i agree kinger...
it really is a friggin dilemma for me!!
he is bloody outstanding for the victory and the a-league..
and i will admit..in the first season..one of the reasons i went back to watch the victory play is because of him..but i guess things haven't worked in his favour i.e. lack of playing time..and injuries..mmmpphh..for the socceroos...and i want to make a point here..i am not questioning archie's loyalty here... |

| he has had plenty and more then plenty I think chances .... you either take them or you don't and he hasn't so he should sit back and enjoy playing at melbourne and work on helping pass on his experience to the youth of his team and endeavour to tell them to take their chances! |

The Archie Dilemma......
Reading a recent article on the 'world game' website..an interview with Archie Thompson..apparently it sounds as though he is p#$ssed off with his critics of late..me being one of them..
I recently made comment that i felt the olympics was his last opportunity to push for selection for the near and upcoming qualifiers..based on recent comments by the national coach that he was passed the point of playing around with the various players..as the last qualifiers were on our doorstep...
There is no disputing archie's presence in the a-league..arguably the best player in the competition..what is in questioin is his peformances in the national team!! |

Kinger couldn't agree with you more..with regard to the a-league coverage..
This is the kind of bullshiite that goes on and on..the bias, the games and the manipulation within the various media circles...it's unfair!
You complain or comment on the coverage and it's friggin...
Personally, not enough scrutiny in this country on the various forms of media..and I'm talking cross ownership...the grey and black areas that lie between business, politics..i could go on!!
gwd..unfortunately the physical tactics and misdeamours..mmmphhhh..pl s don't get me started on this one either...zzzzzzzz...the ffa have started to implement a number of new ideas to teach our kids..small sided soccer..a great idea...skill..skill..a relationship with the ball...players often resort to physical tactic due to a lack of previous mentioned..skill. |

Kinga
What a nutcase! Dim Din.
Sorry couldn't help myself.
Jade North not far behind either. He needs to get a shake up or he will be dropped from his A league club.
Cant believe the unprofessionalism of some of the players in the A league.
Cheers |

good to see CHannel 7 has had the most coverage of the A League in a very long time!
Pity it was only to cover the sending off of Din Djubic
pathetic! |

Magnificent..alan..(;
The mighty Victory reign supreme at the dome...
As Archie highlighted the other night...this side is better than the side that won the championship a couple of years back!!
The recruiting down there...just the sense of comradery..is beautiful..i love you..
And Brebnar is back...Archie is back...can it all be true
Quite simply and matter of factly they are the best club in the competition..ernie merrrick and the club i love you..to the supporters...if only I could shake everyone of your hands..22,000...yeeeeeeee ssssssss... |

Oh it was beeeeyewdiful to watch!! 5 - 0 over the Jets who certainly didn't look like they are the defending Premiers,
Ernie has so many options this year that it is an embarrassment of riches up forward, and the midfield are providing passes and through balls that leave the Strikers no option but to score!
22,589 people turned up to watch and saw a goal feast.
Carn the Victory!! |

yeah. gw. as it is most likely necessary that the league expands..I must say that I am still a little reserved about the whole thing..don't get me wrong here! and nothing against the two new clubs..bless em'. but we still have clubs not paying the bills..and crowd numbers are not exactly swelling..
Look, people can shoot me down about being negative and all..yes the a-league is doing well..coverage isn't that great but shiite happy with what we can get..right!! Coverage...mmmmm..no problems with foxtel..but it's all the political..bias..business ..what ever you want to call it that goes on with the other parties in the media...that scream we are being fair...one word...bullshiite!! |

Only 2 rounds in, and I am changing my mind about Victory and Sydney. Think they will be there and abouts, with Roar, Adelaide and Jets to fight for final 2 spots.
Looks like we have a 10 team comp next year, and Palmer up here is taking no prisoners to make sure the Gold Coast will be a force. Should be interesting!
Cheers |

Great round of football on the weekend..
Plenty of goals scored..
The mighty victory outplayed the wellington phoenix..and I watched the game on sunday afternoon..between adelaide and the roar..terrific stuff..actually wanted to mention the goodwill after the game between the roar and adelaide..it was great to see..players shaking hands and having a quick chat..more of it I say..
I am really excited at the moment with the a-league..teams have brought in some good players..and good football is being played.. |

One player that has seemingly gone missing for the victory but never ever forgotten..personally speaking..is Grant Brebnar..
Just reading reports that Grant is back on the mend after a long stint of injury..great news..the sooner that he gets back on the pitch the better the side will be..terrific player!!
I really think the side is looking sharp this year...and believe that they can once again take out the big one at the end of the year.. |

| Quick! Stop the season NOW! Adelaide are top! lol Always good to start the season with a win, especially when last year it took us six games to get the first one. Lots of improvemnet for all sides considering all the changes every team has made. Hey OR, will Danny Tiatto lose it again against Adelaide? My money will see him get at least a yellow this time. lol |
