| Ago supplies a lot gazka and his experience in this league will be invaluable. Young Burns will pick up a lot of freebies off Ago's work. He never played for OZ because he was a mug. Granted he's no Duke or Aloisi but he's better than Archie, Allsopp or Zdrilic. |

Good news for Adelaide is Paul Agostino comes home from TV Munich and will fix their scoring woes
you think so........from what i heard he has scored 46 goals in 10 seasons. hardly a great strike rate. maybe he was badly injured and only played 2 games a season in which case he is brilliant.
see what happens in 6 months 1 week 10 days 20 hours |

Simon Colosimo has been made of great stuff this (06/07) season. He is spending some time in T.urkey (damn censors) to increase his chances of national selection.
I think that this coming season will be an interesting one. MVFC won't have as easy a run but Merrick is taking some quality steps to ensure their brilliant form continues (through signings).
I'm hoping Fred stays. Newcastle lost Milton and that was a huge shame - and we need some Sth American flavour in the Aussie game. It makes it that little bit more interesting. |

Jay, I noticed the other night Simon Colosimo tied for the Glories most valuable player award. This guy deserves I believe, to be wearing the green and gold again...I haven't forgotten watching the game that he played in against Manchester United and Andy Cole brought him down...To be honest I was pretty appalled at the time how Andy Cole had dealt with the incident, with little care and concern for the player (Simon)...Anyway Simons moved on and I really hope that his recall into the national squad is not to far away!! The Glory look like they are going to go great guns next year..based on new ownership and the plans/visions that they have for the club!! It was only so long ago that the glory were the jewel in the crown for the local game and I hope that they can recapture that..
Looking forward to seeing how Sydney and Adelaide go in the asian cup!! I reckon Adelaide will do alright under Vidmar..They have just made public there signing of Agostino..good stuff!! Though I don't think he is going to take part in the asian cup...
It must be hard...for the money or lifestyle...that would be the decision that Fred and Alessandro would have to consider in coming weeks...These two boys and not forgetting Claudinho captured the Melbourne publics attention and dazzled them with there skill and flair...Fred for me will be the greater loss...He got into the local game quicker than the two other boys..It was a different game to what they would be use to back home in Brazil..The game over here would be a lot more physical..It will be a sad day when and if these boys do decide to go back to Brazil..But credit must be paid to Ernie and those at the victory for spotting these boys in the initial stages...what a coup!!
Already I can't wait till the start of the A-league season..In the mean time though.. |

| Theres no way the Duke will be in a Melbourne next year. The EPL's Newcastle had offered plenty for him and whilst he's got the earning power he'll stay. Ljubo Milisevic comes home from a Swiss league hardly a top one in comparison. Good news for Adelaide is Paul Agostino comes home from TV Munich and will fix their scoring woes. Man, how cool would it be to have him and John Aloisi up front! (Not likely with Aloisi either due to money as Munich were in league below Bundesliga) |

Sarkies may come to Glory (that would be awesome). Topor-Stanley will. Valaphi will.
Another from the VPL is rumoured to be Dino Djublic. Being a Perth boy, I don't know anything about him, but it has a fair few of us Glory fans curious. |

| Yeah, interestingly I just read that Mark Viduka is still in negotiations with Middlesborough about extending his contract!! Shiite all the talk about at the moment is making my head go kaboom..I read also the other day that Sarkies maybe moving to Perth Glory..This would be a huge loss for the team and the club as it has been long thought that Kristin is one of the best talents in the land..I have previously mentioned that Ernie and the boys have got it all covered....The victory are going to kick some butt next year!! |

Hey crab8...lets not get ahead of ourselves as the mark viduka thing i just overheard while passing someone in the cougar bar at telstra dome the other night. Most likely it is a rumour, but hey how great would it be if Melb Victory could lure the DUKE back home!!
No probs i dont mind keeping ppl in touch with things..i have my ways ;-) lol!!
I think its good for Michael Ferantte...now he has the oppertunity to show other clubs how good he can be as he did spend half the time on the bench at victory. Its sad of course but he has more options now.
I hope Fred does stay as well. He's been really great this last season. He was a bit flat a few times when playing, but you get that.
It would be a shame to see Alessandro go to if he doesnt re-sign. I think ernie needs to give him more of a chance out on the field. The guys all class when he plays!!
Would've been great to go to the victory dinner last night, but i'm all partied out!! LOL!! Congrats to Kevin and Danny as well :-)
CARN' THE VICTORY!! |

Scapelja you are a star! Thank you for keeping us all in touch..It will be sad to see Micheal Ferrante go to be honest but for the good of the player he needs to move on..Fred would be the biggest loss out of the brazillian trio, in my humble opinion...I've got the greatest of confidence in Ernie and all involved down at victory land that they are going to give it another big crack at the title next year!!
Congrats go to danny allsopp and kevin muscat in taking out the best player award at the victory club awards held recently... |

Belated Congrats to Melbourne Victory...(im still in shock)
Anyway they were the dominant team in the competition this year and fully deserve their win in the Grand Final- how many times do we see the dominant side lose the big one..
Anyhow Well Done..wow isn't that Archie Thompson something else? |

crab8 yes its true i read on the victory website that Ljubo Millisevic has signed with them!
I had the oppurtunity as well as a few others on mon at federation square to see the boys and stick around for drinks. While we were at the bar outside Alessandro was one of the few who came out and hung around for a bit there and we asked him if he'll re-sign. He said he wasnt sure yet :-( He did say how much he loves it here but was still unsure if he would stay.
Fred was also another one , and he said that he and his wife really do love it here and would like to try and become citizens, but the only issue is....Money!! They are thinking financially and as we all know, our players get paid much less here than the players do in europe.
As for Archie....who knows. The worlds his oyster at the moment, but to watch him play shyte all year and out of know where play like a machine at the Final was just amazing to sse!
Also for those who didnt know. Melb Victory announced yesturday that Michael Ferrante has been released from the club, and can sign with any other now. Apperantly it was a mutual agreement.
I also heard a little rumour while at the telstra dome last night where the boys made an appearnce, that there will be another big signing soon and that it could be Mark Viduka! Dont think all thats true, but who knows. |

| Ljubo Millisevic, it is reported has just signed for the victory...this is great news but who will be shown the door!! Brebnar has also signed and the brazillian boys have both been offered contracts...My question mark over the head trick has to be archie...will he stick around...I hope so..because his last adventure was not good viewing!! Carn the victory.. |

Hey brisstorm, i wont worry about it, just thought that they'd be shown a bit more respect as it was the final. But then again, sh1t happens and it happens everywhere.
Not really into the rugby. Dont mind the AFL though ;-) been a supporter for a long time now :-) But i got a friend who plays in the south yarra soccer club so i might go watch a couple of his games with his wifey and another friend. Give the local boys a bit of support :-D |

| Hi Scapelja...I wouldn`t worry too much about the adelaide team getting booed. When VICTORY come to adelaide they get the same treatment especially KEVIN MUSCAT. Plus I think it could have been their own supporters booing them for the pathetic performance their team put in.I think that will be a good signing for VICTORY. Now the season has finished you will have to start following MELBOURNE STORM as I do.They are the Excitement machine. |

Hey brisstorm, my hands were definately sore and so was my throat, but sadly no loss of voice ;-)
Yeah i've been a victory supporter all the way through so far, but i think even more now!! i'll definately be renewing my membership for next season!!
It was a great night!! Its a shame u couldnt be there.
I was a bit un impressed by the way the crowd were booing the adelaide players when they were recieving their medals, i almost felt embarassed!!
Anyway did u guys here that melbourne victory have signed socceroo Ljubo Milicevic for next season! he's been playing in one of the top leagues in switzerland for the past 5yrs or so and now he'll be coming home and playing for the Victory!! not bad at all. the guy is only 26yrs old, so i was supprised by it, but glad to see that the A-leaague is now in the position to real in some of our top aussie players playing in europe. |

| It was all glorious!! Great crowd, great game...what more can you ask for! Its all looking forward baby! It will be interesting to see if there will be any player movements during off season...Personally I'm hoping that the current victory team will be around for some time yet but....Not to impressed with the way some of the adelaide players carried on and the ffa are now going to take some action...booing the losing team wasn't a good thing I'd have to say either! Anyway, its all asian championships/cup for me and keeping in touch with whats happening around the club until next season........carn the victory.. |

As a neutral, I am hoping for a good even context with flair and skill; and the best team (best performance with flair and skill) wins it. Accordingly, the most dull and boring, I hope will be the loser.
So are you saying if it was the Roar in the GF against somebody you'd prefer them to lose if they were dull and boring?Wouldn't you want your side to win first and if they played a beautiful game that would be second to winning? |

Right fella - well said.
I hope Adelaide regroup and do well in the Asian Champions Cup.
In my opinion though - I think Victory would have been sensational in Asia this year. Pity it wont be the case. |
