will be interesting to see how Glory go against Adelaide in the final! 2 key defenders out. Foxe could be out for the season with a knee injury. Tarka has a muscle injury!
Does the winner get the 2nd spot into the ACL? winner of the league gets the other correct? |

| Should be a good game coming up against Sydney fc and Melbourne Victory (pre-season..I know!!?)...Interesting to note that there were only a few thousand turn upto the game against Wellington Phoenix..mmmmmm..I reckon Wellington might give it a good shake this year...Victory need to pull there socks up if there going to give it a red hot go this year as from early indications there are a number of teams that have stepped up the mark...and that my friends is good for football...and us as spectators. Carn the victory...tight tussle this week...a draw..and go the other teams for the pre-season finals baby!!!! |

| Crab - I wouldnt be too worried, but you cannot be too confident either. I think the Victory roster is about the same standard as last year - but the rest of the pack appear to be catching up. |

| Look, to be honest, I'm not blo$dy worried at this point with the mighty victory. They didn't fair all that good in the previous pre season cup. I did read in the paper today that there seems to be a bit of in house bickering but that makes for good sides...And you know what I reckon good ol' sydney will be amongst the mix this year..I'm happy that the football is back on...phew..such a long rest...This year is going to be great!! And the football is going to be tops.... |

Juhinnio - a weak signing compared with Craig Moore - who at 31 is not far off his peak.

| Juninho is 34. He played off the bench in 5 of the 7 games and had the last 5 minutes of the final. But I think most of us saw him at Middlesborough. He will pinpoint passes when allowed to so I expect most sides will man mark him as he is not the most physical player. |

big - easy probably wasn't the best term but I think cos of them being Sydney they can draw the bigger names and I think Melb gets the same sort of ride.
If Perth or any of the other teams were in the same boat and offering the same thing it would be more difficult cos of where they are. |

Just read Milligan is back and Sydney have signed up Juninho (sp???) represented Brazil in the world cup in 2002 and has played for Middlesborough to name just one team!! Big name!
Wish it was as easy for the other teams to get these guys! |

| crab - yeah to Sheffield United I think it was. apparently Milligan is in Europe trying out with a team despite no permission from the club, in fact the club reportedly only found out through his agent that he was in europe so it will be interesting what will happen if he gets any offers and if Sydney will let him go after doing this |

Just read today in the papers that Adrian Liejer could soon be jetting off to play in the premier league!! I say good on him..a great talent and definitely a future prospect for the socceroos!! The policy down at the victory seems to be not to stand in the way for such things and I gotta tell ya that makes me proud! Of course they will seek some fee but it says a lot about the quality of the league right now...
Dave Carney (sydney fc) looks set to be going as well...it is sad to see..but I'm happy for them.... |

Right Fella
I may have been a bit hard on Adelaide 4weeks or so back.
Looks like Burns and Ditje are in hot form (4 - 1 vs Newcastle). Maybe they will do better than i had adjudged them at the time.
Good to see Roar do well last night against Pheonix. With Moore, Taitto, and some really good youngsters in the Vidosic class, we are looking the goods, in my unbiased opinion.
I would be disapointed if Roar do not average 25 000 this year (with fairly good onfield results), as the last friendly 2 weeks back at Suncorp there were >12000 at the game.
Still not sure how Victory will fair this season though!!!
Cheers |

orrightfella thats good to hear. Nothing better than converting friends who aren't really sports fanatics into going to watch a game or 2 :)
I took some friends with me last year to a couple of victory games and they loved it! This year they have actually signed up as members!!
Another friend of mine who never went to a game last season or even any of the practice matches and pre season games so far this year, yet he's already taken annual leave to go to a sydney away and perth away trip with me and a bunch of others!! Mind you he's never watched an A-league match only grand final last year and only watches the socceroos games.
I went to Launceston to watch victory v's adelaide 3 weeks ago and loved it! i told him about it and he now wants to do the same! |

| Now, if you had any mates kingerik (JUST KIDDING!!!), you oughta take one who isn't really interested in the game and get him into it. I am trying to talk a few blokes I know who arent really into sports into going along to a game in Adelaide this year and maybe bring their family along. Hopefully a big crowd and a good game spark an interest for at least one of them. This is how the game grows at the lower levels. It's up to us fella. Sorry about the no mates thing, just had to because you left yourself open. lol |

| crab - agree and disagree ..... soccer doesn't get much of a foot in the media so when the socceroo's go well then ppl hear more about it and it then makes ppl aware of the local league. True blue fans would already know about it its just the success draws the people from teh outside if that all makes sense! |

Shiite..sorry that number scared me...Its looking even Steven this year guys!! Phoenix having a good early result against Sydney but truly I don't think its an indication of the season to come! Victory this year have made some good pick ups but...I'm just bursting for the new season to start to be honest...Adelaide and Glory are looking the goods as well...
I'll tell you what shiites me is when they reckon the game rides off the back of the socceroos...referring to a headline in one of the newspapers early on in the asian cup i.e. soccers d-day..The local game does not rely on the socceroos and how well they perform!!...the game has never looked better in this country..Carn the victory |

| Craig Moore has signed contract with Roar. For those that got to see Cassio in Hobart and Adelaide against Melbourne and Perth would know they are going to see some scorching longe range goals this year from this man. His goal against Perth from about 35m was as good as it gets. A fit Agostino will provide plenty for Burns, Djite, Dodd and co. |

Definitely a finals contender this season! Not so sure about Victory though.
