Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
I had a great weekend with the soccer results - Liverpool beat Man U and the Gold Coast got belted 6-0! Doesn't get much better than that!

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
of course ferguson is a good manager, what he has
won speaks for itself!

but that does not put him above the laws of the game, like he seems to think!

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
Sorry. I say it as I see it, and I see Alex Ferguson as a negative influence on the future of football, due to his poor attitude towards the match officials. The job of a referee is difficult enough without extra aggravation from managers and players.

to kingerik:

OK, if Ferguson wasn't the first manager to become completely uncontrollable (I'm talking EPL), then who was ??

He and his team are a bad influence on football with their on-field behaviour.

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
Again, I'm not saying that Ferguson and United are the only ones guilty of ganging up on the refs. But, they WERE the first and they ARE the worst.

Ferguson should be banned from managing a football team anywhere in the world. His behaviour is a bad influence on the game.

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
"....ferguson wrote the rule book on how to terrorise ref's!...."

How true. And, throughout his time at Man U, his players have learnt from him about this. As a lover of football, it's sickening for me to watch a crowd of players form around the ref with the sole intention of intimidating him. United have got this down to an art.

ferguson wrote the rule book on how to terrorise
ref's!
his other book is more of the same, just swap ref's
for the f.a!
he needs bringing down a peg or two
he thinks he is untouchable and the sad thing is
he probably is!
the muppets in the f.a are sh!t scared of him!

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
The referees have had enough of Ferguson and his bullying. Good on them for speaking out.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/m/m an_utd/8302792.stm

Ferguson may not be the only culprit, but he was the first and the worst, and he gave encouragement to others to act in unacceptable ways.

Time for the football authorities to show this guy the door - ban him from being a manager anywhere, anytime. He has too much to say. Despite what he may believe, neither he nor his Man United are bigger than the game itself.
