Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
you know Man Utd could get knocked out of Europe if they lose 1-0 away to German side Vfl Wolfsburg in the upcoming final Champions League group game?

without qualification secured.. I can't believe Ferguson chose to play a United B team against wiley Turkish side Besiktas...

he should know by now that you take nothing for granted..all us Man U fans will be watching that final game very nervously as it looks like a banana skin game...

Ref Alan Wiley decides not to sue Ferguson

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/ 8376713.stm

Good on the ref for displaying way more class than Ferguson in this situation, but a pity in another way that he didn't sue. Perhaps would've taught Ferguson a lesson.

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
Chelski look good, Liverpool are going 5hithouse!

1 win from 9 games (but a win that will keep me warm next winter!)- we only lost 2 all season last year! Not good, the sooner we get rid of Benitez the better.

A lot happening behind the scenes I suspect - something is rotten in the state of Denmark (or Liverpool, whatever!).

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
No mention of the penalty that saved Liverpool's a.ss against a relegation zone team either. You know the one that was given to Gerrard that clearly wasn't a penalty...

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
why ain't we surprised that u can only talk about Man Utd when your own team is struggling!

I am surprised there was no mention of Drogba being offside when he tried to kick the ball after Terry's header which would of cancelled the goal

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
And it got worse for the Reds when Didier Drogba appeared to haul down defender Wes Brown — just as he was about to clear Terry's header.

Fergie rapped: "Clearly, Darren Fletcher's won the ball.

"Ashley Cole's never been touched and has jumped up in the air — and then Drogba's pulled Brown to the ground for the goal.

"The referee's position to make the decision was absolutely ridiculous, he can't see anything.

"He's got a Chelsea player [Joe Cole] standing right in front of him and he doesn't even move.

"It was a bad decision, but there's nothing we can do about it. You lose faith in refereeing sometimes, that's the way the players are talking in there — it was a bad one."

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
ALEX FERGUSON saw his Manchester United sunk by a controversial goal and sighed: I've lost the faith.

With the game locked at 0-0, John Terry nodded in Frank Lampard's 76th-minute free-kick.

United were fuming that the intial free-kick — given for a Darren Fletcher foul on Ashley Cole — was unfair

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
What I'd actually like to see the next time Ferguson and/or the United players terrorise a referee is for the referee to abandon the game, then sue Ferguson and/or the United players for assault/intimidation/abus e of character (take your pick).

Something like that might make Ferguson and his "boys" think more seriously about their actions and responsibilities.

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
The ref was on his biggest game of his career and UTD were getting dirty. As soon as Sir Alex started with his cr@p the new ref should of red carded him and sent him from the pitch.
It would be intersting how the powers that be would have looked at it.
Would they back the new ref or bow to UTDs power?

He was at it again in the match against Liverpool on the weekend. Standing on the sideline, flapping his arms up and down.

He is not a good example to anybody about what the game of football should be about.

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
Ferguson's behaviour is a problem created by the football authorities for themselves. They let him and his players get away with too much for too many years, and now they believe that they are untouchable.

It's a shame for the game that I used to love watching.

Re:Alex Ferguson Reply to this message
ALEX FERGUSON tore into Anfield ref Andre Marriner - just days after the FA charged him for blasting an official's fitness.
The Manchester United boss insisted Marriner was influenced by the home crowd. He said: "We lost out to one or two major decisions. Car *** er in the first-half was a penalty kick.

"He has clearly gone over the top of the ball on Carrick. But the one everyone will be talking about is when he brought Owen down on the edge of the box.

"He's their best defender, so if he goes off it would have been difficult for them. Their fans were fanatical and every decision they put the ref under pressure.

"Look at the booking of Patrice Evra after Torres clipped his own heels. The atmosphere around it forced the ref to book him. With Vidic, it was a foul but the crowd got him booked for it.

"This atmosphere is hard to handle for a ref. Whether he had enough experience or not, I don't know."
