| Nah, I maintain that it was Neil's fault - a defender going to ground is poor. If he stays on his feet, the Italian can't dive and the penalty can't be awarded. Inexperience was the key, if he is in the same position again, he'll do the right thing. |

| Only good for the Socceroos. We'll be able to attract better friendlies and it can only help with hosting the WC. I still think Portragul would spank us no matter what the rankings but good to get some recognition for a flawless WC qualification series. | I think we all agree that the rankings are not a true showing of how good a nation is at football. but for a non-footballing nation it is great for Australia to break into the top 20. Remember this wasn't achieve in the same way the yanks did by running their federations championships every 2 years and only having the mexicans as opposition :P |

| Latest FIFA rankings have the Roos at 16, not a bad effort for soccer nobodies! Ok, the rankings are rubbish, but to be recognised in the 'elite' of the sport is a real boon for the side. Couldn't hurt our SLIM chances of hosting the World Cup either. |
