They are getting low teens minimum and high teens low 20's atm but average almost 30 daily from June-Sept (just looked at worldweather.org) Night temps 24/25 Jul/Aug and 19/21 Jun/Sept.
Not like we/ve had this heat for too many weeks mp so i would suggest it wont be an issue.

http://myp2p.eu/. You need windows media player or download other programs like podcast, depending on what suits your pc.
Watched the uzbek games through media player and was ok considering I am on wireless and my pc is slow and old (hey, bit like me now! lol)

Re:No Adelaide United thread?? Reply to this message
how much will the 36+ deg temp in adelaide today affect the japanese squad. It was 30 deg by 9am so they will have the heat all day or stay cooped up in thier hotel. I am not a huge soccer fan, but enjoy the game and would love to see the reds if nothing else make a real game of it and fight it out.

your a great and entertaining team to watch and what ever the final result is , as a city and team you can hold your head up high.
now kosmina, as a person your stil havnt changed since the hakoah days.i just wish adelaide take our the acl and leave egg on your face lol. they were correct to have had the mind and priorities in winning the acl.as for your team ,mm dreadfull ,boring, one sided and least of all pathetic.the only reward kossie for sydney hokoah f.c would be free kosher meals and a wooden spoon

Took time off to see Osaka train for about an hour yesterday Crab. Very sharp but lighthearted session. Hopefully they are thinking they have it in the bag. Reid will be back and Valk.a.n.i.s looks like playing in place of Costanzo so there is the mongrel we will need to put Osaka off their game. Reid will also run hard and give his wide runners confidence with his strength. Dodd and Cassio will need to work harder out wide and Diego needs to get more ball to get into Cristiano in the box. 90 minutes + time on to go yet so no giving up here. All losses are hard to take but you accept it, fix what needs to be fixed and go again. Go you Reds!

Re:No Adelaide United thread?? Reply to this message
You know I felt more confident that Adelaide would score against Victory in the 6-0 GF drubbing than against Osaka. Not that they didn't look like scoring agaisnt Osaka because there was a couple of chances from memory but they had little midfield ball and despite the scoreline seemed more competetive against Melbourne in that game.

Hopefully Reid and Barbiero are fit because Sarkies and Pantelis just didn't cut it in the middle. Geez I wish Salley could have played. A bit of physicality from him would have been off putting for the Japanese. Losing Galekovic and Costanzo is a huge blow but moving Cornthwaite to the middle of defence and Mullen to the right will actually improve Adelaide. Young Birighitti thought playing Victory was big is about to learn again.

Yeah..I agree..fella.
The whole move into asia..I think..can only improve our football..though we still have a way to go..
Actually, i reckon the home game against Osaka next week is going to be interesting!? home ground adavantage..
Games previously in the championship have been hard to pick..due to a number of reasons...so I haven't given up completely on the Reds'..

Re:No Adelaide United thread?? Reply to this message
Angel- Adelaide didn't choke, they were outplayed by a superior team. Whether tiredness was an issue I don't know but I don't think Vidmar will offer it as a reason or excuse.

I only listened on radio and they were so much sharper, tactically superior, technically more skilled and anything else you want to add there. Simply they were better. No wonder they beat Melbourne 2-0 at home and 4-3 at the Dome.

A good lesson for Vidmar on tactics and something for Adelaide players to work on as far as urgency and desperation goes.

I dont think Adelaide will turn it around in a space of a week either crab but it was good to see how the better clubs are doing it and what it really takes to make the top.

Osaka have a squad of 31 with 6 players out on loan to other clubs. Dunno what their player wages are but I'll bet it's not capped at $1.9 million. More national team Japanese players stay at home because of the money and Osaka has about 3 or 4 of those with Endo being the star. I'm not making excuses because Adelaide just lost to a better side, but I am pointing out the differences and advantages a number of Asian clubs have over A League clubs. And yes I am pretty disappointed with last night.

Watched the game last night..adelaide vs gamba osaka.
I remember watching them play the victory early on in the qualifiers..and thought shiite those boys can play.
They dominated the game last night and to be honest with you I really can't see adelaide getting over them on the home leg...even though tiredness and home ground advantage would of played some part in the way adelaide played last night..

As always adelaide united choked when it came to the big game. 3-0 is bloody ridiculous. It can be done i guess 4-0 but i doubt it.

Re:No Adelaide United thread?? Reply to this message
eeeeks 3 - 0 nil loss and lose Galekovic and Costanzo for the return elg due to collecting too many yellow cards.

makes it tough at home! expect the japanese to go defensive and adelaide will have to go all out and hope to not concede and score at least 3 to go to extra time.

at this stage can't see that happening but who knows... they got this far :)

Re:No Adelaide United thread?? Reply to this message
Adelaide take on Gambo Osaka from 8pm tonight and possiblt missing midfield pair Paul Reid and Fabian Barbiero. Reid has been a revelation since coming to Adelaide from Brighton and Hove. Barbiero was a very good premier league player in SA and has stepped up nicely.

Ex Melbourne youngster Kristian Sarkies will have to play the game of his life and it is likely Lucas Pantelis will play alongside him. Dodd will be on the right and Cassio on the left with Cristiano the lone front man. Cassio willhave gained confidence from his goal against Melbourne so Adelaide can look to him and Sarkies to hit from long range and Cristiano, Dodd and Pantelis to get into the box.

Looking forward to the match against Melbourne's conqueror (although I expect Victory may have performed better against them now if they were still in the comp)and hope we can come away with a point.

Well done Adelaide. You have represented not only tourselves, but your country well. Great for the game in Adelaide and the country as a whole.

I'm hoping for the day when football is recognised in this country for what it is, real football, as recognised by the large majority of the world. Adelaide's efforts are helping here. And I'm a Newcastle supporter! (but first and foremost a football supporter.

I don't know where I read it but I believe the FFA are considering..I did say considering..the idea of trialling new and improved ways in which to assist the referees with there decisions...personally I think it is somewhat overdue! With such high stakes in the games these days..surely there's got to be new ideas and technologies out there that can be tested...I know there's the problem of perhaps breaking up the flow of play..but..again high stakes!
