| Wasn't it Newcastle who got a fat Mario Jardel? Thank god Adelaide didn't pick up Romario for any more than 4 games. $250,000! On the plus side Romario helped bring Cassio here sort of, so there was SOME value in it. | Yea - overall the Marquee players have been a waste, except maybe Yorke and Moore. The youngsters coming through should be the focus - for the longer term, and paid more for excelling performance IMO. Cheers |

| Yep, getting a bit embarrassing some of the "star" Australians coming back like old washed up pensioners. I like Aloisi, Laza and Ago but none of them have made any impact on the field considering they were all starting national team members at one time. At Adelaide we have Paul Reid who was a lower level player in England yet in his short time at Adelaide has been such a revelation he is a national squad member now. And while bargain Brazilian Cristiano scores goals Ago has been getting splinters and doing a hammy getting off the bench! lol |

| Sydney have been far from scr@ppy so far, even with Aloisi not playing up to his best. Beside Melbourne, Sydney have played the best football in the competition. I think they will take it this year. Oh and what's the deal with Yahoo thinking the word scr@ppy is offensive? |
