Does anyone know the kick-off time for the Socceroos v China return match in Sydney on June 22?

Thanks.

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
Have to agree and disagree with you there Erik.

A Keeper in a penalty shoot out doesn't have any pressure as they aren't expected to save them. However if the Keeper gives away a penalty during a game then there wil always be pressure on them to atone. I think Schwarzer would have felt a little under pressure for this particular penalty.

On another note, didn't the Chinese make complete knob's of themselves, running around like they'd won the game before the pealty was taken.

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
I don't think they specifically train for penalties!

but as a keepr once said "there is more pressure on the penalty taker then there is on a keeper" and he went on to say what I said....

THat keeper was Mark Schwarzer after the Urugay game

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
If keepers aren`t expected to save them, why do they train for penalties? Penalty kicks reminds me of the game rock, scissors, paper. All mind reading

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
no stain there ..... keepers aren't expected to save them, more pressure on the actual kicker! any they save is a bonus!

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
Yes, Schwarzer`s penalty save was on all the CNN news services.
In a way, by saving that penalty he has gone some way to wiping out the stain of the penalty losses to Italy and Japan. Good man!

all in all good result away from home at high altitude and with many key injuries!

They can go away with more confidence as a team after that performance!

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
the penalty would of been difficult to not award unless the ump was in the right spot so if he was as far away as been said he would have been a tough decision for him to not award the penalty. But watching on TV it wasn't a penalty
:(

and how that 2 footed flying tackle didn't get penalised is beyond a joke! lucky the player didn't get stretchered off with a broken leg or 2!

Oh boy..I love these guys..the socceroos that is..
No other aussie team turns the emotions on in myself as the socceroos do...a sense of great national pride..
I know it's been said before but the guys commitment to the yellow and green jersey is magnificent...love them..
I watched the game at star city and I can tell you that when Schwartzer saved the penalty....everyone jumped to there feet!!
They certainly struggled without having a striker..but gee, they played some good interconnecting football at times...So proud...

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
That draw will pretty much amount to a loss from the Chinese point of view

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
drake it is just you. although it wasn't great it wasn't that bad. The penalty was extremely dubious though. No way the ref could have seen what was going on, he was way too far away from the action.

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
Did the Archie Thompson challenge get a card?, absolutely crazy that the Wilkshire one got nothing... I mean that's broken ankle/leg stuff

I thought FIFA were clamping down on dangerous tackles since the A.r.s.enal Eduardo incident...

Another penalty in the final minute was hilarious stuff but am glad we got away with a draw wheew! thanks Schwarzy

Is it just me or was that the worst refereeing performance in a senior match since Australia V Croatia at the last world cup?

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
nil all draw. Australia had a couple of good chances but couldn't finish them off. China had plenty more chances than us including a penalty but thanks to Schwarzer we managed to salvage a draw. Good result considering all the players that were out.

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
No Emerton, Kennedy, McDonald or Sterjovski. Will Pim play 2 upfront and will they be Thompson amd Djite who has taken huge leaps since given a decent shot by Vidmar. A loss is what no-one wants but a draw at altitude will be sufficient. Getting them at home and winning is what we need to do and the same goes for Iraq.

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
lol...with some of the above comments..tehe.
It's gonna be a tough game and at present there are a couple of players who are doubtful for the game for australia..A win...that's all I hope for...
Interested in Pim Verbeek and how he plays out the game..
He's opened his mouth about the standard of players in the a-league and has gone with mostly overseas players with this game..I want to see what he is made of....

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
The coach is fine. Its the quality of players, when the overseas based players are missing, that is the concern.

Re:China v Australia Reply to this message
My guess is 1-0 Australia.
Chinese are not bad, but always lose big game.
Strange habit of theirs.

Australia will win, I believe.
But, the coach is not good, no doubt.
That remains as a concern.
