the game is being arranged by SFC not FFA. FFA are likely to object to it as it is too close to an international game.

SFC are better marketed than FFA.

If Sydney FC beat Queensland Roar than Queensland would have gone to the Pan-Pacific Championships... that was predetermined...

You call it any way you like jk but I dont swallow let alone suck. Did you know Westfield has a board too? I wouldnt expect anything but spin from a Sydney supporter trying to justify why Sydney gets this easy ride. I know what a board is supposed to do and I also know how chairs and owner can exert influence that are in the best interest of board members. You are kidding yourself if you think life is democratic in these situations jk.

Frank has to be bipartisan to Events with FFA & Sydney he may be the chairman of the FFA but he only has a part say on what events surround, it's called corporate governance and without it would leave him open to all and sundry including the federal government.

All the rumors about Sydney have nothing to do with the club but Media & Supporters, if the whole team quits doesn't mean it's unprofessional someone needs to brush up on their business acumen.

Well thats just heresy kingerik, just outright heresy! lol How will Frank get any of his money back if he lets other clubs in on the act for games like these. Sheesh! i though you knew better! Heresy I say! lol Of course add my touch of sarcasm and read that. I couldnt agree more but as long as Frank has a finger in these 2 pies it will always be. Now if he could just get himself a bit more influence in the ACL..... lol

orright - it is utter bu115hit! Why bother with a National comp. if the Association is going to have its fingers in the a club like it does with Sydney and look after it!

If they are going to have these teams come over from O/S then they should be playing our best team which is Newcastle at the moment as they WON the comp! Otherwise the FFA should pull out of Sydney and have it as a standalone team like the rest and have them all compete on level playing field when trying to attract these games!

regards to crowd numbers, you get a big name like ZInadine and you will get the crowds! Even Perth would get a decent crowd!

Myabe FFA could look at promoting the game Countrywide instead of just in Sydney!

Re:My open protest to the FFA.... Reply to this message
most of the ideas put forward to FFA actually come from Sydney FC marketing department

Is there a difference? Frank co owns Sydney, supremo of FFA, why would he have 2 marketing departments? Talking about Sydney, that cap must be bursting at the seams about now. If things were so professional at Sydney as you claim then why cant they pull Melbourne size crowds to their games despite being a bigger city? You never hear of squabble coming out of Victory like you do with Sydney. How long will Kossie last? When will he join Pierre, Terry and Branko? Get off the grass jk.

In all fairness not many people around the world would know where Newcastle or Central coast is located, the reason for having these matches is to raise the profile of football around the world so it makes sense to have Sydney or Melbourne as the playing teams, most of the ideas put forward to FFA actually come from Sydney FC marketing department until the other clubs start to get more professional they will not have some opportunity.

Recently, I heard the news that Zinidane Zidane may be gracing our shores later in the year for a LA Galaxy type game. Initially, I was excited at the prospect of getting the chance to see one of the greatest players to play the game..but my excitement quickly turned to frustration and anger once it was mentioned that Sydney fc were going to play in this game..
I believe this is grossly unfair..
Sydney fc seem to be getting a lot of these "golden opportunities" handed to them of late..need I remind you of the LA Galaxy game..the pacific chamnpionships..and I don't buy the bullshiite that they qualified for the Pacific championships because they fell out of the finals first..it was a signed deal way before this!!
I'd much rather see Newcastle or Central Coast play Zinidane's side than Sydney fc ( a reward for there great seasons) ...play the game in sydney but this preferential treament for sydney fc is getting up my goat..no matter were the game is played a good crowd is assured...
If you want to take it further...Melbourne Victory have the highest number of signed up supporters...but for me either Newcastle or Central Coast would be better...than once again handing sydney a golden platter..no wonder they have players racing to sign up for the club...
