Re:AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Reply to this message
The move into asia is such an important thing..
For club and country..
If anything it gives us some gauge to where our players are at..compared to what the best in asia have to offer..
I was recently encouraged by the interview on SBS's the world game program with technical director Rob Baan..(a sigh of relief)..to know that we are moving forward..with player development, amongst things...most importantly the desire to see the game grow was evident...

It's going to be a tough ask for both Adelaide and Melbourne. My hope is that one of the two gets through to the next round. Hoping for another big crowd for the Melbourne game!! Victory at there best could pull a few surprises. I know it's a big call, considering the teams that line there group but I believe quite strongly that the team can go further than all before them....it's still to early..Carn the Victory...

From all accounts, the Chinese are the team to beat in Adelaide's group, with the Japanese the obvious favourites in Melbourne's group.

Only one team from each group qualifies for the knock-out stage, so little room for error.
