well....this is the team:
Adam Ashley-Cooper, Peter Hynes, Ryan Cross, Berrick Barnes, Digby Ioane, Matt Giteau, Will Genia, Wycliff Palu, David Po *** , Rocky Elsom (capt), Mark Chisholm, James Horwill, Ben Alexander, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Benn Robinson. Replacements: Stephen Moore, Matt Dunning, Dean Mumm, George Smith, Luke Burgess, Drew Mitchell, James O'Connor.
really good to see Ashley Cooper back at 15 where he played so well in the beginning of the season...Hynes and Ioane on the wings...Mitchell and Turner did not really do great things this year...
and George Smith....on the bench...is just something temporary or did he just join Deans's black list for no reason as did others?is a big gamble....he is after all the 2nd best no 7 in the world...and we got killed at the breakdown in most of the games against the AB's and the Boks....and Pokok did not impress me much in the game time he got this winter for the Wallabies....huge gamble....i really hope it will not backfire....
and when Smith comes on the field i really hope he will come at no 7 and not to replace Palu at no 8.
really curious to see if Dunning will get any game time...and how will he go if he does...
i really expected to see Barnes at 10 and Giteau at 12...
hope will be a great game and a really good win for the Wallabies. |

Dont get too down Wallabie Fans...
The Wallabies will be battle hardened after playing the ABs and Boks this year. Enough to carry them over the line in a majority if not all of their games up North (Apart from Japan, of course)
The only thing that would concern me is targeting. I think a lot of the NH teams will be targeting the Wallabies as there team to upset with the big three heading that way.

Luan...i don't think that a NH loss will be the end of Deans...it will put a huge amount of pressure on him,and the chorus of people saying he is not the right coach for Australia or that he was made to look a much better coach that he really is by the formidable Crusaders team he had will grow by a very big percentage...but i don't think that he will or need to go.
a loss to NZ this Saturday combined to a couple of losses or more on the Grand Slam tour and i agree with you...he will be gone...he should be gone...
but enough of this doom talk,lol...even though i am with Jimmy here, not really confident about this whole tour after the Tri Nations we just had,i still have hope that Deans and the boys are capable of turning things around and giving us some reasons to smile...
and i really hope the results will come because of some great rugby from the Wallabies, and not because the reasons Ado mentioned, that soon England will have no more fit players to make a team and Wales will miss a lot of them(i thought by the time the Wallabies play Wales they will have all their players back from club duty...am i wrong?)
really looking forward to see the team announcement tomorrow for the Bledisloe game.
GO THE WALLABIES!!!!!
p.s any of you guys know who will broadcast the NH tour?had a look in the Foxtel tv guide for November and i can't see any games...will it be on the free to air channels only?seven or ten? |

| Have faith Jimmy, I can see a whitewash on the horizon. The Poms are half injured , the Welsh cant get released from their clubs....I reckon things are looking pretty good for Grand Slam 2. |

Australia isn't too confident, don't worry! Not alot to be confident about really, apart from a couple of close losses (tied in with one win and a couple spankings)!
Well, at least I'm not confident. Was at the start of the season but that withered pretty quickly...

| Guys i dont want to sound negative or anything but i stress everytime the springboks play against the top 10 teams in the world! I think its always a 50/50 game. No one can be under estimated especially the french! But with that said i think the Wales looks pretty good on paper and England is always hard, Ireland is in form and i think Scotland has some youngsters coming through! Wales has some experience guys that did it for wales last year so watch out Aus dont be too confident. Its one thing beating france at home its another thing going to the north and playing away from home! I think Aus can do it but they will have to be on top of their game! I think a NZ loss can be forgiven but a NH loss could be the end of Dingo. I would hate to be him right now. He has NZ next which could be a loss and then England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales!!! Im worried for Robbie he needs his team to perform or he is gone. I think 5 back to back winning performances are going to be a bit much for the boys but the best of luck to them!!! |

| It's a 50/50 against you guys Gerraint, flick of the coin. Which team shows up on the day and wants it more. |

| it could go either way, think this is going to be the match of the tour. given we won't have our english based players released, we're going to lose against the All Blacks, can't see any other result. But they'll all be back for the Aussie match. I love the Wales - Oz matches, always makes for a decent spectacle. Can't wait. |

Geraint, I wouldn't say we had your measure. Very hard to say, the only real look at a NH side we've had this year is France (apart from Italy, which probably doesn't count), and we came up all right out of that one, but it's pretty hard to judge from one game.
I have to say the first one has me worried, a lot depends on the side Robbie selects and, if there are changes, how they click. I'm looking forwarc to it.

| tsprouster - i'd like to know what makes you think you've got Wales's measure. I can't see any justification for this, other than hope. |

I'm with you on this one - The Wallabies NEED a good tour. They need to show that they can play and play well as a team consistently and Deans needs to be able to say to his detractors - "See? I told you so"

Thought I'd start this thread up for the up coming NH tour and HK test V the Blacks.
I am fairly confident of a successful tour and nothing would be better to start it off than a win against the old enemy NZ.
I think we have Wales and Scotland's measure but the test for Oz will be England and Ireland.
Here's hoping for a good tour and I wish the boys all the best.
