Wait and see, Canterbury. just like the Crusaders will clean up the Air NZ Cup. Wait and see also that they will be totally under-represented in the All Blacks. Players like Corey Flynn, Wyatt Croker, Kieran Reid, George Whitlock, Tim Bateman and Casey Laulala dominate their positions, but they don't get selected.
They're tough and know how to win. They just come from the wrong side of Henry's favorites sheet.

A-Team
1. Woodcook 2. Hore 3. Afoa 4. Thorn 5. Williams 6. Kaino 7. McCaw 8. Thompson
9. Cowan 10. Carter 11. Rockocoko 12. Nonu 13. Kahui 14. Sivivatu 15. Muiliaina
16. Mackintosh 17. Mealamu 18. Eaton 19. So'oialo 20. Weepu 21. Donald 22. Toeava
B-Team
1. Franks 2. Elliot 3. Newlands 4. Boric 5. Donnelly 6. Read 7. Latimer 8. Messam
9. Mathewson 10. Brett 11. Gear 12. Bateman 13. Smith 14. Guilford 15. Jane
16. Schwalger 17. Coles 18. Thrush 19. Setephano 20. Ellis 21. Delany 22. Williams
I guess if 9 have to be dropped then it would be the 7 reserves for the B-Team, Bateman and Guilford.
I think the AB's selectors are making a mistake if they do not include a 3rd 5/8 to blood on the N/H tour, with Carter gone for next year I think Brett should definitely be included. |

I agree entirely kwhauwhau, Moa should not be considered.
Matthewson from Wellington is far better.
as is Khan Fotualii (Tasman) and most of the other ANZ cup halfbacks. |

All the 30 Tri-Nation squad players will be there for the spring tour to the UK, so there will be few positions available for the new comers out of the Air NZ cup.
I think the selectors will go with 35 players......

I think Tui'ali is off to japan, would get Messam in there somewhere and Read for Haiu
If Sommerville is available I would take him just to help with his experience which will help the others step up.
I wouldn't mind Eaton getting another run as lock, he was a great rookie Allblack, he can cover bind side as well.
Nicolte's backs look good, infact they look very strong. Gear is playing out of his skin, he could well be a dangerous AB winger. |

I would definitely take Masoe over Lauaki. I like Lauaki in S14 but he has made too many mistakes for the ABs. Weepu has played his way into the team but Leonard is the best 1/2 back in the country - take all three.
Blessings

| Read should be a definate at 6. It doesn't look like somerville will play. Drop Lauaki. Leonard and Rocokoko if fit. And Kahui or Brett. |

After doing good service "out of position", surely Kahui gets a run at 13, way ahead of Tuitavake. I read not long ago that Joe Rocokoko is due back, and if fit Henry will surely want to get him game time. Agree Leonard travels if fit, but Cowan and Weepu did fine and would do again. For mine, I'd take Messam and leave Lauaki. Finally, I'd be vastly surprised if Somerville plays - he's a short timer for England. Teilata, who covers both props needs to show thathe canplay consistently at Test level.

Now that the tri nations and bledisloe are in the bag its time to go claim the heads of the boring old men in the north.
The All Blacks coaches claimed they were to give all the other stand out Super 14 players a chance that didnt make the Tri Nations squad.
Heres my team:
15 - Muiliaina
14 - Masaga
13 - Smith
12 - Brett (maybe)
11 - Sivivatu
10 - Carter
9 - Leonard/Cowan/Weepu
8 - Rodney
7 - McCaw
6 - Read
5 - Williams
4 - Thorn
3 - Somerville
2 - Hore
1 - Woodie
16 - Mealamu
17 - Afoa
18 - O'Neil
19 - Lauaki/Kaino
20 - Weepu/Cowan/Leonard
21 - Donald
22 - Tuitavake
