| Mark Bishop architecture, or MB 51, I think you are the same, are you sick of Graham Henry yet???? This is now his 4th loss this year and it's only half way through. Next week doesn't get any easier. I repeat...4 LOSSES and including one to 5th placed France (series loss here too). Shouldn't you be questioning your coach's performance? |

| any 1 with half a brain would have known that if australia rugby didnt go the way they have done i believe they would not made the semi finals in the coming world cup .the win last week was nothing i cant wait2 see the ab game next week. all the past games the aussie team had lost was going to happen , there were no new approach to the team or game .last year the aussies should have been routed the 2 teams the abs n the bokks should have demoralised them then but deans has installed self belief in the new younger players to withstand the pressure. bokk have been playing better rugby on the day. aussies played themselves out of the game. till last week there were less mistakes is this the start of the march.no it aint that started that last year. to win a war u fight battles till the WC i can only see a good future 4 australian rugger. cheers 2 every rugger player n fan n no i am not aussie |

Geraint,
As an Aussie who was introduced to rugby in the late 60's and 70's, I would never regard Wales as minnows. In those days Wales was one of the great rugby nations, and Cardiff Arms Park was one of rugby's holy shrines.
Sure you haven't reached those heights since, and have had a few years in the real wilderness, but gradually you arer returning to be a genuine rugby power, and long may it continue.
Wales, ups and downs - sure, but minnows - never.

MarkBishop -
"He's [Robbie Deans] given you your first loss to minnow Wales in 22 years"
Sorry to correct you but ...
Wales beat Australia in 2005
Wales drew with Australia in 2006
The welsh regional side Ospreys B team beat Australia in 2006
Robbie Deans didn't join until 2008 (and of course we beat Australia that year as well)
We may be minnows in your eyes MarkBishop, but I don't think the Aussies are going to underestimate the Welsh in the autumn series. We have some excellent players, some coming through that you have probably never seen before, and a very good record against Australia in recent years. There's no doubt Wales will be targeting this match to win, and with New Zealand's performance of late, I think Wales will be actually targeting a win against the Kiwis as well.
Something that some of you antipodeans need to get used to is that Welsh rugby is finally seeing the benefits of a professional structure that they embraced very late in the day, but the players are coming through now in decent numbers.
If you think we're minnors, you watch out for the following players in the autumn:
Jamie Roberts
Jonathan Davies
Sam Warbutton (fingers crossed he'll be selected)
Leigh Halfpenny
Tom James
I don't think you'll be describing us as minnows when by the end of the year. We actually have a very good competitive team in all departments.
Your 7s team treated us as minnows this year, and didn't we beat you twice on your home turf? |

Deans will look very good when the Wallabies finally 'click'.
It's been odd seeing someone like Mat Giteau having successive bad games. Rome wasn't built in a day. We'll get there - even if there's more pain along the way. |

Sacking the coach is the last thing Oz needs to do.
Dean's job is safe till the WC imo.
Who would replace him ?
The only possibilities are maybe Michael Cheka or Ewin Mckenzie, and I'd rate Deans a better tactician than either of these.
Hopefully Cheka may be back to coach the Melbourne side if that all works out but imo Deans is still da man |

Purely hypothetical and doesn't make sense, Mark. It depends on a lot more than straight results.
It's a bit like me saying, what would it take for you to get sick of Henry, another loss to France, another loss to the Boks, crash out of another WC in the semis?

Ok Stage 2 of the Question guys:
How much more will it take for him to cross the line?
Whitewashed in the tri nations?
Couple end of year tour loses?
Or are you happy to keep him through to 2011 regardless? |

The truth is, I can't see the Riddler singing the praises of the BOKS. Furthermore, Riddler is a kiwi - and a great ABs supporter. I miss him on this board. I guess he is travelling a lot these days. He will be back before the WC.
Blessings

Riddler is a great reader of the game and most of his points are spot on.From what I've heard he was born in UK but moved to NZ when he was 2/3.So imo that makes him a Kiwi.
Grist is a SA living in OZ who has a chip on his shoulder about Oz rugby and ONLY comes on here to denigrate Australian rugby.
That's the difference |

Ado,
riddler isn't a K1! He's a Pommie. And I think he lives in Melbourne (lucky you).
So Mel could be right... But even though Riddles can be a Shyte stirrer I wouldn't put him in the same league as Grist.
Grist entitled to his opinion. Fact is Boks are much better - now.
How much better can they get? How much better can AB get? How much better can we get?
Plus, Bok rugby is potentially at it's all-time pinnacle with more and more whites leaving in the face of a racist flip-flop, tit-for-tat black talent (or lack thereof) policy. Just look at the coach and you can see the tremendous future of South African rugby! |

Your new job seems to be bagging Australian rugby.
Yes we are struggling. I'll agree with you there.
Why don't you go onto a SA site and gloat there !
I'm getting tired of u !! |

| Ado if you prefer to lose, you can have if all mate - Wallabies lost the Bledisloe Cup, Mandela Cup and TriNations Trophy this year. Racked up historic all time record losses against the Springboks last year in Jhb and this year in Perth. Record number of losses after leading half time. Roll in it mate - your preferance. You must have been having a ball for years and years now - cannot remember when last the Wobblies won a trophy of any kind. Ado, you know how much riches Melbourne has. Can you scratch together some cash to buy a cup or pot for the trophy cabinet at the ARU - even a pe* pot will make that empty cabinet look better. (PS - put your name on the pot, you deserve it) |

| Gale while i was still living in SA i thought it was strange for a big country like Aus to not be the force in world rugby! But once i got to Oz i realised that its not the first priority sport and that plenty of talent is lost to GAY(FL) and league!!! I feel sorry for the Ausies that they are robbed by these other codes but my respect has also grown for you guys!!!! I hope Aus the best of luck in building a strong team for next season!!! The Springboks (Rome) wasnt built in a day!!!! |

| Grist is a co/cksmoker. And no one is sick of Dingo by any stretch. The corner isn't far and the turnaround will be complete. I for one would rather the pain of losing now to win later. And we will win. |

For once, I'm almost in agreement with Grist. The culture in Wallabies seems to be all wrong, stemming back to the Gregan days around 2000 when senior players suddenly became bigger than the game, and the coach.
Now, Wallabies are paid $15k per test, win, lose or draw. Where's the incentive to win? Incentive to leave it all on the paddock, like McCaw and Matfield?
No. Not sick of Dingo at all. More sorry for him. He needs to get some leadership, cultural & administrative change ON TOP of skills & performance uplift.
Notwithstanding all if this, guys Luke Grist, Luan & even Bok leave themselves wide open for criticism on the basis that there is still 2 years until RWC. If such a 'lousy' Wallabies squad is managing todtay in touch with such 'champion' Boks & AB, I would have thought the potential for improvement is there for Wallabies by the time RWC comes around... |

| I think you have the cat by the tail. Deans coached his Super team to more victories than any one else. He is top notch - one of the best in the world. But he has been given losers to coach. He is most likely already sick of the Wallabies! He is smart enough to know the difference between winners and serial losers. Deans - cut and run mate. |

NO!!
I get sick more of gloating Kiwis and Bokkers than my Ozzie coach. Henry has been in charge of NZ since 2004...and he's still there, minus a world cup that he told the NZRFU to judge him by. He's lost 3 games this year, including a series to France who are ranked 5th in the world. No big deal! Then you've got De Village Idiot... need I write more.
Dingo has been there for only a year and a half and I am only too happy to have him there until the next World Cup. He can only improve. |

A question for my Aussie Brothers.
Are you guys sick of Robbies Deans yet?
Im really surprised that the knives aren't out.
So far he's....
Got a terrible 57% winning record
He's given you your first loss to minnow Wales in 22 years
Has 5 consective loses against the ABs
Has the worst consecutive loses to the big two since the 1970s
No doubt he's a good coach but we have to remember that his record is as a provencial coach in a provencial comp with by far the best team on paper most years, fielding players regarded the best in the world throughout his reign.
???? Chop chop Aussies |
