Mex,
<<Of course, if the ABs win, I will be feeding those words to you>>
I'll eat 'em if I have to! LOL!
Here's hoping that ain't gonna happen. Ideal scenario: -
Smith enjoys a magic 100th test, icing McCaw and participating in record-breaking win by Aussies. McCaw fails to replicate one-of-hype from last year's test. Aussie's use Eden Park win as step toward overcoming World Champs on August 8.
Has a nice ring to it, don't ya reckon? LOL! |

Beautifully balanced start to the Tightest looking tri nations in a long time Lads.
The Wallabies have somehow come away smelling like roses with a couple average games against the Italians while the ABs were slaughted for winning by a couple points less then the Wallabies who had their full squad. ??? Now the Doomsdayers are calling 20 plus point victories to the Wallys...
I think this weekend is in the Balance.
I think with the injection of the world class talents of McCaw, So'oialo, Smith and Sitivini you will see huge improvements on the pre season games. This and the fact that they are at home gives the ABs the Edge.
8 points in favour of the home team.
GO THE ALL BLACKS

Last year when McCaw was out the WALs won in Sydney. Everyone was talking up the WALs and how good they were. McCaw returned from injury and the WALs came to Eden Park only to loose by 38-9 (I think that was the score). Any team that does not learn from history is destined to repeat it. TAA you might want to look at history and know that a WALs win by darn near 50 points is a reflection on a man who does not know his history, drinking too much Kava and smoking something that is definitely mind altering. LOL

Hey Taa,
ease up on the kava mate! Great to have another one-eyed Wallabies supporter on board, but don't you think you overdoing it just a wee bit?
I mean, 50 - 13 against the AB has never been done, and it's at Eden Park.
I'm with the Frog, expecting (hoping for) a win, but it is likely to be narrow - 7pts is my margin tip. As good as Wallas squad appears in paper, it's different to on te park. Won't be putting any money on it! LOL. |

I'm certainly hoping for a Wallas win, but admit I'm nervous. Problem is, we haven't really seen this AB side yet this year, with all the top players back. We have seen AB 'B' running around, and they have been relatively unimpressive, but we really don't know what to expect from this side.
I'm going for a narrow Aus win, on the back of the AB's not able to field a top line 10, but I'm certainly not putting the house on it.

Gale,
Are you talking your team up in order to bolster your confidence? I sure hope you are and that you have to eat those words after the game. Of course, I sure that you hope the opposite. Good luck but go the mighty ABs.

Mex,
we are in violent agreement on all of that! Wallas haven't won @ Eden Park for almost quarter of a century.
Even with Richie back to rally AB tho, I reckon Aus can finally break the drought next Saturday... |

Gale,
I think your confidence is a little premature. I will let you know what I think after the first game. I need to see the ABs perform with a full compliment of players. They played the first 3 games with some serious gaps due to injury. However, that problem is not true next week. If they play well and beat AUS well then your prediction goes down the gurgler - however, if AUS beats them then it is a lottery. Let me remind you of last year when pundits were saying the same thing about the ABs because of their poor start. Look at the final result. I believe the ABs took home all the silverware last year. Sooo, we shall see.....
Blessings

Am going out on a big early limb here: picking Wallabies to win 3N09.
Now, I've probably just given them the kiss of death. But it's been a while since I've felt this good about a Wallabies side.
All things being equal (i.e. not suffering massive injury toll), they have the squad to win it, even losing a few key players through the natural attrition of the contest. |

Boks looking pretty hot (although dirty!!!) Kinda like rolling in desert mud, lol
1. SA
2. AUS
3. NZ
Could go either way. Arguably the weakest NZ side in a few years, but that being said they're never really that 'weak'. Just a little more beatable. That being said they're going through a natural rebuilding stage and they'll be back to full strength before we know it. Hell, they could still take the title this year, who knows? I just hope we yoink the Bledisloe. Long overdue...
GO WALLABIES!!
