Smegul,

You are a legend mate!

I'm of slave origin too (although Romanians are sort of half latin, aren't they?). I lived in NZ for 2 years and my son even sang the NZ national anthem every day before school (as Royal Oak primary). But no chance is he an AB supporter! Wallabies thru-and-thru!

Panther, why couldn't you be sensible like the Romanian legend? C'mon!!! And by the way <<Like all the W>O>G>S>> - seems like this is not working in your household. LOL!

Panther and Mex...you wanna hear about confusing?
i was born in Romania(Eastern Europe),i left the country when i was 6 months old, i lived in Sweden until the age of 7,then due to dad's job we moved to Texas, where i lived until i was 18,then i went back to Sweden to do my uni for 5 years...
now call me wierd for somebody that comes from Sweden and US... i always liked rugby and the Wallabies...so i decided to come visit Australia to see the Wallabies on home ground...and absolutely fell inlove with the place, lifestyle and culture...and i call it home for the past 14 years...
so Panther...i guess as long as you find a place that you love to call home and a culture that you feel that you belong to,you don't have to worry too much about background, you'll be right mate...

hehehhe, Mex well that just sounds ike my upbringing. Dad was posted in different countries all over the world, however we moved every four years. I was a very confused child when i went back to FJ and could'nt understand my dialect or certain things within my culture. I had a fluent understanding of other cultures but somehow my parents failed to keep me up to date on mine which is crucial because we all have a background.

kiwimex

Can I suggest that they support England at rugby.

We don't always win but there are usually lots of points scored and the songs are great.

Also they will not suffer the disappoinment of World Cup failure every 4 years.

Just trying to help

It could be worse. My kids have been raised in NZ, United States and Mexico. They are confused and don't know who to support and even if they should watch rugby or not. Luckily I can still get my youngest son to watch rugby with me.

Blessings

Panther,

Your kids will be giving it to you after the Wallabies win on Saturday.

I'm still copping it from mine over State of Origin (NRL) as they are both banana benders.

Enjoy the game Chopper.

Re:2009 3N Opener - AB v Wallabies in NZ Reply to this message
Here's the Wallas side for Sat. No real surprises except perhaps for the inclusion of Palu in the run on side. Two open side flankers again on the bench so Dingo is looking to run the legs off the AB's in the last 20 as he did with the frogs. Got gettem boys!

Adam Ashley-Cooper, Lachie Turner, Stirling Mortlock, Berrick Barnes, Drew Mitchell, Matt Giteau, Luke Burgess, Wycliff Palu, George Smith, Richard Brown, Nathan Sharpe, James Horwill, Al Baxter, Stephen Moore, Benn Robinson. Replacements: Tatafu Polota-Nau, Ben Alexander, Dean Mumm, Phil Waugh, David Po *** , Will Genia, James O'Connor.

Re:2009 3N Opener - AB v Wallabies in NZ Reply to this message
I think Donald is clearly the best option at 10 on form, but how he handles the step up to test level remains a bit of a question mark. I note you're pretty confident the AB pack will be going forward Mex! Bad luck about missing the game.

That will make McAlister reserve, I bet he's hoping Conrad Smith doesn't get hurt! LOL

Re:2009 3N Opener - AB v Wallabies in NZ Reply to this message
It looks like McCallister and Stephen Donald will be available for Saturday. I would like to see Donald play in a game where the forwards are going forward. I think he will do well. Unforunately, I will not able to see the game as I will be on a flight from Mexico to the U.S to NZ. It is a shame I don't arrive a day earlier and see the game live. I have a bunch of mates going to be at the game. One of them emailed me this week and told me he had an xtra ticket if I wanted to go with them. That's friends for you - offer you something that they know you can't make. LOL

Blessings

Re:2009 3N Opener - AB v Wallabies in NZ Reply to this message
i totally agree with Ado...this is it,a lot of unfortunate injuries that crippled AB's and forced them to change and chop the team constantly so far, very few injuries for us so far... if the Wallabies don't win this saturday, might as well pretty much give up hope of winning in NZ in the future....
i wish i was as confident as Gale is...and fingers crossed his confidence will prove true come saturday night...
but anyway....Wallabies by 9 is my tip...hope will be a great game to watch.
