Hiya,
Just like emok, wanted to send y'all an apology note from France about Bastareau's behavior. When I first read the news that he had been beaten up, I almost dropped a quick message, if only to taunt riddler, for ol' times sake !!
Didn't do it though as it sounded weird at the time (he didn't want to press charges and all).
Just bad vibes about this whole thing.
(For once) I was right about that one.
Still, I have the feeling that we have not heard the last word about this -pathetic- story.
Nevertheless, sorry about all that.
All the best,
Pascal |

Hey Emok Good on ya really
I thought some of the comments (on NZ sites especially) ridiculling the entire country were stupid. He lied, he'll live with it. Dont feel sorry for him one bit however. Im a proud kiwi and I dont appreciate peoples lies running our country down to this extent. But its over and I hope the Media dont make too big a deal over it. He should come out along with the French rugby union who apparently were extremely rude (possibly understandable at the time) and publicily apologise.
To all those with a little egg on there face I hope you also learned a lesson.
GO THE SOUTH BOYS This weekend
back to the rugby

Emok, you weren't the only one sucked in mate.
The poor bugger will never live that one down, feel a bit sorry for him, he's only 20. He probably came clean because it was either that or having to live with being beaten up by a couple of trannies. The lesser of two evils so to speak. |

Hey Guys, I apologize for my previous posts regarding Bastareaud HE LIED !!!!! He got drunk fell off his bed and injured himself , he was so ashamed that he made up the all story to avoid being kicked out of the french team , what an idiot !!!!!
So once again my apologies to all AB supporters and kiwis out there for being hasty in my comments and if ioffended anyone
This is really bad for French Rugby, i don't mind that he gets so drunk after a game and that he injures himself in the process , after we've all been young and stupid ( myself included ) but covering his injury by accusing other people !!! that's too much and i'm sure the Wellington police has better things to do !! |

Tranny's....All Blacks....What's the diff?
All jokes aside, it is hilarious that a 110Kg frog gets bounced by a couple of ugly lady men.
I do hope the cops figure this one out, its more intriuging than Graham Henry's team selections. |

New Zealand Police are now interviewing two "women". The storey is that the French rugby player was abusing two Trannies and they took offence. So instead of the 5 Men that asulted him police were are now looking 2 Trannys haha
Well, if this is true you can see why he made the storey up. |

Just quietly the "fight" is being looked into and there is some doubt whether there even was an incident.
I have been disgusted with what happened, not embarassed as kiwi's as a whole aren't like that, these guys are scum. If the allegations turn out the other way it wont reflect well on this professional rugby player.
Interesting, either way I hope the truth is found |

Well said Gale! As a kiwi, I am embarrassed by the incident and hope the police catch the bas tards who did this and send their butts to jail for a long time. Probably not a high chance of that happening. Nonetheless it is a black eye on NZ. Furthermore, if the kiwis in the stand can't handle their booze, then maybe they should not sell booze at the games. Last time I went to a game, I went to watch the rugby not to get pissed and throw bottles.
Blessings

The Bastareuad attack has nothing to do with who people support. These guys [if you can call cowardly criminals that] are 'nothing' in life and they seem to think this type of behaviour makes them 'something'.
In Perth WA, where I live, there are gangs of youths throwing footy-sized limestone rocks at cars and buses; damaging vehicles, causing accidents and seriously injuring people. Are they Wallabies supporters? Or West Coast Eagles supporters?
Who cares? They are trash and no decent team would have them as members or fans.
It's a tragedy that this happened to an innocent fellow, but don't start throwing stones (like the pun?) at others - including you French guys - when this sort of thing goes on in your own backyard. |

Right on Jam,,,,
People seem to think the depth in NZ rugby has receded somewhat... I can't argue this outfit isn't a dominant force, but come on,,, the extent of change in the ABs camp is more than any other nation could handle. Such talk in the preseason is as all AB goggled fans have put it,,, inconceivable!
I expect after 7 changes,,, this forward platform in combination with the backs finally getting it right (sort of) will produce alot of tries this weekend. |

emok, what happened to 'French Nonu' was absolutely appalling and I am highly embarrassed by it.
I hope those 4-5 blokes get what they deserve after such a cowardly act. Following on from the bottle throwing incident, this is quite disgraceful. |

| I really am perplexed by all this negativity towards the ABs. It would also seem quite disrespectful to the Frenchies because in my opinion, this was a very very good French team who hustled, hassled, pressured the ABs in both tests. And if this is what we get when they send a full strength team down, then THATS AWESOME!!!! Much better than beating Tonga by 100-nil in June!!!! A lot of you make out that because we only won by 4 points, we've no depth, we're not the same anymore blah blah blah. Wow! All the best this week Ockers cos your forward pack is in for a tough night this weekend. Rather than trying to point out the ABs deficiencies, why not give credit to the French team. |

It seems that the ABs started last season bad. They were beaten by Aussie and then by the BOKs. They went on to win everything that came their way after that. If you read this thread, from all the non ABs supporters it is doom and gloom for the ABs. I believe that is wishfull thinking on your part. The ABs will come back in the next couple of games and play their normal high standard. To underestimate them is to loose. I gaurantee you that Robbie Deans will not make that mistake. Don't get me wrong, they did not play to their usual high standard and were beaten and then tested because of it. I can't remember which team last year said that the ABs were not as good as the Wallabies and yet the ABs took home the silverware. I think it was the ENG. Now the French are saying it. Keep up the doubts and wish for the worst - the ABs will prove that kind of the talk wrong in the best possible way - the will win!
Blessings

I fully understand were you are coming from and (IF) it was AB suppoprters they will get what they deserve. There is allways a minority that ruins it for all of us and that goes for any other team or code.

Indeed you are correct the terms of Supporters was highly misplaced, but you have to admit that after the bottles throwing incident of last week , it is getting a little bit too much
I do not intend to give AB supporters a bad name , far from it , i just want to make a point that if we are not careful these kind of incidents could escalate and i do not wish the AB to suffer the same sort of behavior next time they come to France , We also do have idiots who might think that it could be a good idea to throw bottles at the AB and attacked some of them after the game |

("I would also like to express my disgust to what happened to Bastareaud after the banquet when he was attacked by 4 AB supporters "
I dont think it ws ever mentioned that it was 4 All Black supportes, as he even said himself he did not know how many it was 4 or 5?? and couldnt describe them either and at NO point did he ever say they were All Black supporters? so please dont give us a bad name when you yourself dont even know the complete truth as to who it was. |

Hey Guys
Congratsa to the AB i thought that consdidering the weather conditions ,it was a decent game but both teams missed quite a few opportunities , in the end i think that 1-1 is fair result for both teams and i believe that there is a lot more to come from both teams
I would also like to express my disgust to what happened to Bastareaud after the banquet when he was attacked by 4 AB supporters (i don't think you can call them supporters anyway ) and now he is on a plane home and will miss the lasdt test against Australia ! he's not pressing charges but after the bottle incident of last week , this is not giving a good name to Rugby |

Whale & Dirty,
You guys seem to be looking at the world through All Black coloured glasses! Mealamu is definitely on the way out. I did not think he played an 'All Black' standard test match on Saturday. He is a classic example of Henry & Co's pathetic slavery to Kiwi public. The most conservative pick to just try and win.
Well, they won. But not convincingly. And they lost the series. As an Aussie, I'm rapt that Kevie played the whole match and that Aled missed out totally.
The comments about who to start in place of Kaino just support my case: All Blanks have no depth this season. There is trouble on the ranch and it will be very interesting to see how well the team can rally in the face of some real challenges in the months ahead. |

Never, friend. And I'm not being 'negative', I just reckon you guys are finally facing some of the hard stuff we Aussies have been facing for at least 3 years. Mate, I'm good with you, and was taking the p1ss a bit when I said you were crying like a kiddy at play lunch. LOL! You were being a bit of a girl at the time tho cuz! |

How is Masaga not on the beanch at least?
All of the Super 14 was marvelling at his skill level this season. And when you have Jane who isnt even a winger and Joe who has been out of form forever, its rather mind boggling.
Wake up All Black selectors.
