After a 19 point win plus playing away we will get heaps of IRB points for that win. I would be very surprised if we are not number 1 now and quite easily as well. We would have gained close to 1.5 points and SA lost that many so a 3 point differential in the IRB ratings.
As for the tri nations, thats as good as in the bag now. Will take a miracle effort from the Aussies in SA to deny us but even if they do fluke 2 wins over there they will have to beat us in Brizzy to wrap it up. |

| gk, AB's only have to win 1 game, not 2. Just so long as OZ beat SA once, which is on the cards because SA IMO have fooked up by playing 4 consecutive weekends, no Tri team has won 3 in a row, never mind 4. |

One thing is for sure in that this years series is shaping up to be one of the better we have seen in a while.
Who is going to win?
Aus have to be the worst odds with their away record and 2 games in SA.
SA have some political trouble brewing in the administration side of things and their coach seems to be more focused on the going ons at the All Blacks rather than his own team.
NZ seem to be very focused and for the first time in, ever, Henry has picked an unchanged team.
Not easy winning an away game but the ABs have to win 2 to claim the title while Aus only one. SA just have to hold on at home.
My bet ABs to take the title by a bonus point or 2. |

On the eve of the tough end of the competition - i.e. the SA leg - who will prevail?
Can the Jaapies maintain a perfect home record, retain the World No 1 ranking and win the elusive 3-in-a-row?
Will the AB win in Capetown and in Brisbane, regain the World No 1 ranking and themselves claiming the elusive 3 in a row AND in 3 countries?
Will Wallabies win in Durban for the 1st time in 8 years, J'burg for the first in 45, and claim Kiwi scalp in Qld, themselves breaking all sorts of records, including the 3-in-a-row prize?
Most of all, WHO will be this year's Tri Nations winner? |
