You reckon Johno will get the job Ado? Hmmm.
He's certainly got a track record of motivating his team. |

Nice summary Gale. Johno to coach the Tahs next season. If they get him they should retain most of the support staff....which is a must.
Not sure if he'll cope with the NSW office politics though. Could be a few board members with black eyes next year. |

Gale,
I guess all we can both hope for is that both our teams improve on all the promise they have shown. |

<<at least the chiefs win at home. On a regular basis>>
Can't argue with that Reg. The only difference is the Force a re a new team. Chiefs should be doing a lot better. But agree they are both very similar in many ways. |

Gale,
Mitch has had ups & downs this year with Force. Scorecard says they've moved ahead as a group. 09 needs to be the year they make finals.
Foster's team always shows most promise and delivers least. A more extreme version of the Canes - questions to be asked.
If one team showed alot of promise and delivered little the chiefs, i guess you'd have to say the same about the force at least the chiefs win at home. On a regular basis |

AUS:
Link is gone. Regardless of whether Tahs make the finals or not, changes will ring thru NSW, which is probably a good thing.
Fizzer is gone. Thank God for that. Like NSW, ACT will enjoy the refresh.
The Moon has dropped his dacks at a few more fancied teams in 2nd half of season and has Reds heading in the right direction for '09

NZ:
Robbie's gone. Will world's best rugby club faultlessly transition into the next ' golden age', or will they drop the Black and become the Reds?
Nuci's gone. Auckland's token Aussie could still have the last laugh if Blues get into finals. Seems to be positive momentum for Lam to leverage in 09.
Cooper will be hero or villain - depending upon whether or not Canes get thru. If they don't, hard questions to be asked of coach with a talented team that keeps missing out.

Moore has been unluckiest coach in 08, doing a great job with limited talent pool. Lost several very close encounters against more fancied opposition. 09 looks good for Otago.
SA
Ludeke's first season has been forgettable. From Champs to Chumps, Matfiled's 'glue' has been missed. Talk is that the big guy may be back in 09.
Muir has done a good job after losing some big names to Europe. Sharks aren't what they were last year, but look solid for 09.
Rassie has had a great impact at the Stormers. They finally look like a 'team' rather than collection of good players. Looking good this year & next.
Eloff has done ok with lots of injuries but his team seems brittle. A bit like Otago - lost a few close ones. 09 should be better.
Drotske. What can we say? should they even be in the comp? They did put in a few good games this year. 09... who knows? |
