I would call neither dumb. However, I do cringe with some of Mexted's comments at times. Both of these "dumb" guys are making a lot of money from being "dumb" and talking about rugby. Not bad for a "dumb" guy. I would not mind being so "dumb" that someone sends me to a bunch of rugby games so I can make "dumb" comments about that game. What a GIG!!!

That settles it then!
The Aussies are the most one eyed. Just ask them and they will tell you the absolutely are not! Marto leads the way.
The Saffa's are the worst to listen to
The Kiwis are the best except for Mexted who is the dumbest M0FO on the planet. The ebb and flow of psychic energy may change this perception of Murray in time. NOT!!! |

Gale!
That try was not a knock on, Lauaki was tackled so he released the ball, you have to release the ball in a ruck see.

"I think the Kiwis tend to be more objective than their Aussie counterparts"
Are you f'ing serious Jimbo??? What drugs are you on? There is only one objective K1 point of view on anything. Theirs.
I do love it though when they lose a world cup and start eating their own. Quite fun really. |

| I agree, the Aussie commentators are the most entertaining/funny. Probably followed by our guys with Mexted and the gang. And the South Africa commentators are probably quite level headed but not that thrilling to listen to. As far as being biased goes.....well it's easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment when calling a game isn't it? |

I think the Kiwis tend to be more objective than their Aussie counterparts, and maybe a little less biased (barely), but I think the Aussies are more entertaining. SA commentators are least entertaining.
Marto/Clarkie/Kearnsy rock. They can be a little unintelligent in their commentary at times but hey it's a game of footy not chess. |

Good comment re commentators Jimmy - and I haven't seen replay as I was at match, so can't comment myself.
Generally, I've found Kearnsy to be the most entertaining and objective. Mexted is a laugh, but he & Drake (?) seem to overlook obvious mistakes (Lauaki's stunning individual try against Reds had an obvious knock on, for instance).
I actually think commentators are pretty good and their biases are minimal these days.
Footnote: It is hilarious to listen to K1 commentators on AB matches referring to team as 'we' - like they are actually still in the team and calling shots! LOL!!! |

Hodgson when he scored the first try for the Force was offside - but marginally. Not a mile like KOB says. I can understand that some kiwis might think that the Aussie commentators are a little biased, but everyone thinks this about OS commentators. I've watched many games played in NZ when I see an infringement and they say nothing. Same goes in SA. It's just the nature of the game...
Both Chiefs/Force were about as good (and bad) as each other, Force made the stronger start to the game so deserved to win.
End of story. And such is the nature of sport. |

KOB,
I haven't said they won't make the finals. If I said that, I would have to include Waratahs & Sharks in that equation.
Also, agree with you re offsides at end of first half. Don't know how Giteau got away with not being yellow carded - he was a mile offside and was warned several times. I think the ref went to his pocket the last time but decided against it.
In the end, Force deserved the win. Lauaki disappointing, putting pressure on Donald. Force all the more for doing it with several reserves.
Agree with Zedds in as much as they both promise so much and lose crucial games.
Cheers. |

The first try was miles offside considering he was standing in the middle of the ruck when he began to move and then made the charge down. That makes the score 15 - 21.
Force were constantly offside eventually being told to stop or there will be a card. Just before the end of the first half, Chiefs players were tackled offside, no card nore warning was given. Again the Chiefs take and early tap just outside the 22 Force again offside no pentaly was given right in front of the sticks. Could have been 3 points but looking at Donalds kicking I wouldnt bet on it.
I havnt said it wasnt a poor display by the Chiefs, but to say its Lauakis fault is quite ridiculas and calling him fat... I have seen him with no shirt on there is no fat there its all muscle. Compare Lauaki and Palu almost the same physique. Drew Mitchell and young boy centre played very well and they were the difference in the end as the Force played just as bad as the Chiefs (reflected in the scoreline). So where this Force could have won by many more points is coming from is total bull. Chiefs have Lions next week, expect a dominating Chiefs performance the week before they trample the Sharks.
One bad game by the Chiefs and everyone says they have nothing to make the finals. Look at when the Chiefs beat the Crusaders, the Crusaders played horribly, no one shot them down from being a good team.

The offsied try he is rightly or wrongly talking about would be the first try. It was also brought up by the Aussie one eyed comentating team. So if they picked it, it could well have been offside.
The point is the final score is the score. End of story.
A good win to the Force although both teams were appalling to watch at times. |

Gale,
Your fantasy scores are a laugh.
It was the "Sublime Masaga" that missed and easy tackle on Mitchell leaving Mils to clean up a tackle he shouldn't have had to make. |

Ado,
You are being WAY too hard on Tahs. That was anyone's game in atrocious conditions.
Tahs have endured worst run of bad-weather games in living memory. I don't reckon the loss did you guys any harm at all.
One of the games of the season coming up this weekend between Tahs & Stormers.
Stormers continue to be my dark horse pick for title winners this year. Yep. Winners. |

Interesting take on the match from a Chiefs perspective KOB.
Let me give you a Force perspective.
Firstly, I was at the game and travelled there and back on the train with lots of Chiefs fans (great folks). None of them were complaining after the match about the things you are. Most of them agreed they were lucky not to be beaten by more.
Force crossed the line 3 times in 2nd half. 1st disallowed try was marginal and most refs wouldn't call it a fwd pass. Lucky Chiefs. 2nd should have been a penalty try because the man was tackled half a metre from the line and would've scored unimpeded. As it was he threw a pass that was knocked-on & ref played advantage but he got it way wrong. Considering Walshie awarded Stormers a dubious penalty try from 25m out, you guys were very lucky.
End score should have been at least 30-21, giving us bonus point and Chiefs having nothing.
My theory that Chiefs only perform when Fat Boy turns up stands unchallenged. Lauaki was slow and got smashed repeatedly, dropping the ball on 3 occasions in the tackle. This put pressure on Donald who never performs when his fwds are going backwards. Both will now struggle to get AB places.
Contrary to your belief, Force were better side in both halves - it's just that the Chiefs decided to play in the 2nd. They only got down in our half on a few occasions and scored - which is what they do.
Masaga - sublime. Must be in the AB squad.
Mils made to look silly by Drew Mitchell for 2nd try.
Would love to know what the offside try is you are talking about.
Force left to rue not turing up a fortnight ago. |

| Did anyone else notice in teh tah's game that the half and full time sirens blew about 12 seconds before they should have? both times the tah's would have had possession, but the siren went before the timepiece on the TV said it was due to go... |

Meh, Chiefs could have beaten the Force but they blew their chances. Referees can't be blamed for that.
I'm not to phased though. I'd like to see how the Hurricanes do from here on in with Ma'a Nonu and Conrad Smith hinting towards All Blacks positions.
By the way, I've never been a fan of Sione Lauaki. Theres no comparing him to So'olialo. Sivivatu dropped a pass that easily could of won them the game.....but not just that, hes having a BAD season. As soon as Rockococo gets back then I'd imagine him and Massaga would be the AB wingers. Donald....hmm, not quite ready yet perhaps. |
