I'm relieved I'm not the only one Zedds... yeah there's been some occasions where it was a no-brainer. Maybe we should enlighten the coaches?

If you're right, then I am bemused as why teams haven't had a crack at this yet. If noticed a few times that a team gets a short-arm in easy drop-kicking distance but I've never seen anyone have a go. An easy 3 points, I reckon...

Free kick - question Reply to this message
Team gets a short-arm penalty in front of the posts. Can they attempt a drop kick at goal? I've been wondering why they don't, as from my understanding it would be fine. Defending team goes back the 10, so there would be ample time to set it up.

Am I right? Or would it be illegal to do this?
