| Yep, it seemed Daniel Braid was really missed at the breakdown for the Blues. |

The Saders did what they do best, come from behind but how many more times can they do this? Very close, the Force were excellent, young guns, fast, if the Saders lost it would have been tolerable. A really good game to watch.
Carters kicking was *** , it was like he didn't even care that he was missing. The Blues, met a good team and were spanked. I don't think they have enough experienced players in there. Great Super 14 anyway. |

<<then the lads get a bye.>>
The rest of the teams will like this weekend as it will be the only week the Crusaders won't win a game. :-) |

| About three more weeks of pretty solid teams - two at home and the Canes in Wellington then the lads get a bye. |

| Unfortunately, it just became harder to beat the Crusaders with 6 of their last 9 games at home. |

| A decent game to watch, the force domi nated the first half and the Saders the second. The fitness of both teams is remarkable considering the lengthy tours they have just been on. I would give the Cantabs the edge in fitness as they seemed to be able to turn it up a notch when it mattered. Ali Williams had a blinder along with the Force number 8. |

Because I live in OZ, I'm a card carrying Force supporter and I'm worried about the mental toughness of this team, they let far too many winnable games slip.
Sharpey needs a clip about the ear for that stupid and unecessary pass into touch, unforgivable from a man with his experience.
I also support the Blues.
Bugger. |

Sprout,
Saders didn't get out of jail - they beat a very good team on the night by playing better when it counted - in the last 15 minutes.
As an avid Force fan, I was proud of the way they played and it was an honourable loss.
Agree with Ado - if we can build on that and play for the whole 80, we WILL be a Force. |

"Out Crusadering the Crusaders"
In the first 40 as put by one of the Aussie commentators was a nice touch actually to sum up how good the Force went. |

The saders showed why they are a championship team. They could have folded a number of times in that game and a lesser team would have. They needed that game to remind themselves that the job is far from over.
Big thumbs up to the force. Gutsy effort and like Gibo said, there is speed to burn there, but for me their forward pack in the first 40 absolutely took it to the more famous saders names.
If they can keep that form up for the year, they will be top 4 for sure. |

Well yea they can be beaten -- but certainlly tonight their attack paid off more and deserved to win really. Force has their chances.
Having said that the Force have alot of speedy men in that team of theirs. Mitchell on the wing I think it is, I get nervous whenever he gets the ball in hand lol. Close game and without doubt a step up for the Crusaders. |

| Blues were out played to be honest. Although the men from Auckland did nothing to help themselves at times, missing kicks at goal, etc. Close in the end on the score board but throughout most of the match it was mostly all Sharks. |

tprouster,
SA is certainly struggling. I do believe it's the new rules also the old problem of traveling not being our strong point and not fit enough to take the game to the opposition in the last quarter or so..
Stormers did take Reds today and Sharks are giving the Blues a good game at the moment. Not all doom and gloom this round.
Blues outscoring the Sharks now. NOOOOOOOO!!! |

| and to the bok fan.I think the point is a fair one. After winning the WC,which is the pinnical of the game often teams slacken off and find it hard to have the passion going in a new season.I don't think anyone is haveing a go I just think that with the performances so far the SA sides are struggling to: 1.adjust to the new rules and 2.get themselves motivated for a new season.I may be wrong and we will see |

Kwahuahua,
I am not sure of the point of your mail, but......
IF, I planted a feather I might have grown a chicken and all an all.
We won. It's old hat or in the records, whatever. New season, old hangover.
Super 14 and SA losing it grand style, that be my point.
I am a Lions (Curry Cup)/ Cats (S14) supporter, and always will be. (have your dig, if u must.) My son played for the Falcons junior's last year and will be a Western Province/Stormer due to a tranfer and change of Province on my side.
In SA, rugby is our passion. 2007 WC came and went. Hooah, we won. Chuffed? Obviously and Bigtime.!! New season, new challeges, bring it on. we want more, we want pain, we wanna win, EVERYTIME, EVERY GAME.
If you are the AB supporter that I think you are, you will know where I am coming from.
"The Bokrugga fan"
