| I could never work out why Ricky didn't want to play him at half-back. We won a premiership with him there, but they insisted on buying Finch who had had a fairly big hand in placing Canberra in the disarray that it was, and then went on to stuff every half combination after Fittler went. It's a testimony to Fittler that he was able to keep Finch in check so long. When Finch ran on Canberra supporters would yell out "keep running Finch". One time he got Man of the Match and everyone booed. Anyway, we'll miss you Wingy. Whatever happens, you were a member of our Premiership side. |
