Gorillas actually, and yes we will be proven right.
Once they lose the players will realise that he isnt the messiah.
He is just another ex-footballer who thinks he can coach.

Yes I believe he will. He already did. We would probably have the wooden spoon if he hadn't come along.

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
AND IT IS OFFICIAL .....WOO HOO!

Brad Fittler will be head coach of the Sydney Roosters for the next two NRL seasons, the club has announced.

The appointment was expected reward for former Australian captain Fittler who has turned the team's fortunes around in six matches as caretaker coach since Chris Anderson resigned.

He will be supported by current assistant coach Paul Young and also former Roosters halfback Adrian Lam who will rejoin the club as an assistant coach and also take control of the national youth competition side.

Fittler guided the previously struggling Roosters to four wins and a draw before the 22-18 weekend loss to Gold Coast Titans which has all but ended their hopes of an unlikely finals berth.

AWESOME NEWS......WELL DONE ROOSTERS ON NOT TAKING TOO LONG TO PULL THIS OFF. GO FREDDY AND GO THE ROOSTERS!!!!!!!!!!

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
I hope so...apart from the wins he has been a breathe of fresh air with the media etc. Hugging the players when they come off and the way he really wants to be with them....just shows his passion for the roosters and the way forward. No other coach would have the passion that he has for this team and fans.

I love his answer the other day when asked what he said to the players at half time when they were behind on the score board: "I don't remember" - And to him it wouldn't matter....they didn't lose and therefore the players got it done. HE IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB....JUST PUT GREAT PEOPLE AROUND HIM AS ADVISORS.

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
It is stats. Pete Sharp took over manly, had 3 wins then lost. it is the best effort by a caretaker.

and he wont be assisstant, he will be head coach, with Gould as a kind of mentor, and Lam possibly as his assisstant.

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
Can anyone else confirm that this is the best ever start by a non-full time caretaker coach in the history of the NRL? I thought it was three straight wins after taking over. With Freddie having 5 games since starting with out loss including a draw....this has to be the best ever!

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
look what happened with Jason Taylor last year. All i am saying is that he has the bug now. And it would be hard for him to accept assisstant now after the job he has done. Cronulla and Saints will be looking for a new coach...so.....

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
I agree that the sin bin didn't help, but all you can do is make the most of the opprtunities presented to you and the roosters did that. Good on them for keeping up the momentum.

ALSO - i had to read your post 9-10 times to make sure i was reading it right. You said something positive about the roosters. And you didn't even do it while calling them the Rorters....well done.

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
Sin bin was warranted - deliberate foul play in an effort to stop a team with momentum from scoring.
It was a fitting punishment for a team displaying a touch of arrogance - the Warriors led 30-18, and decided to play razzle dazzle low percentage football and failed to show the rooters any respect. They should have potted the field goal to make it 31-18, and put any chance of a rooters comeback out of the picture.
Shows a weakness in their mental attitude that will need to be corrected before they become a premiership threat

Re:Brad Fittler Reply to this message
I don't see the Freddie knockers in here yet? *looks around* nope, i guess you have changed the old addage...."if you have nothing BAD to say about someone......don't say anything at all"

Well he looked very cool and calm under pressure.

Oh and the demeanour thing? Just read this:

Not once during those tense exchanges, or the 10 minutes of golden point, did Fittler's demeanour change.

He grinned, he sipped and he ate.

"If you just keep faith, the players pay it back," said Fittler.

"We just had to come up with another couple of plays.

"It's over now and it all made for good theatre."
