Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
i think its safe to assume nathan will be remembered for his uninspriring football, rarely a winner he holds a record of winning wooden sppons at different clubs in successive years no one else has
after that he has help guilde the tigers to many more wooden spoons
nathan appeared lost without wallace and his losing ways so know has again gone from the tigers

nathan brown what a loser

"Well this is our line up for round 6

RICHMOND
B: Chris Newman, Luke McGuane, Darren Gaspar"

So, does Gaspar play this weekend, or is he gone right away?
If they can change it, I'm not sure I see the point in playing him.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
Hi guys...where i live i get a pretty good footy channel that comes out of South Africa....and the other night they had a inteview with Wallace and Brown...the info from that was Brown will be back againts the Bombers in RD 9/10 and Riewolt will get a game before the half way mark..... Realisticly we wont play finals this year, so wallace needs to start preparing for next season.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
i agree with the mental toughness issue although it has been said the clubs kick it up another gear and we cant seem to go with them. Do you reckon it might be a little of both?I dont think this way for the record.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
That Chards is why you have a very expensive senior coach and an extensive support staff to deal with these matters, don't worry our we aren't that far away fro success but the real disappointing thing is when we've been in winning positios this season we have capitulated after being competitive every game so far, thats definitely a mentasl issue.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
Its easier said than done though. Trying to remain positive when your 0 - 5 is not easy. Not that would I ever admit that I am worried to my mates in Vic.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
Another thing, it's really disappointing to see Nathan Brown on the sidelines but we must remain positive about his situation. He should return in time, maybe he won't let's go back to 1995, Richo was awesome and the unthinkable happened when he badly damaged his knee but the players showed great resolve making the finals and a few young players were given their chance to make the grade, Nathan Browns absence is no different and we should being drawing on the positives and shutting out the negatives.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
If Kingsley is fit then he must be included especially as we're playing the Cats. How many players change clubs these days and have something to prove and turn it on against their old club.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
Not just pettifer, we need a few bloke to stand up! With Kingsley back next week that might show some improvment to our forward line.

He was the cats leading goalscorer for a few years im pretty sure. Polak is really fitting in well with our squad I think, good bloke!

How do you boys think we'll go against the cats?

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
All this talk of no Brown in the Yellow & black again is bringing a tear to my eye. Pettifer needs to rise to the challenge now.If we get him back it will be a bonus but I aint holding my breath. Scarpi I do love your optimism though and i am praying you are right.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
I reckon you're a glass half full kinda person there Scarpi.
I'd love it if you're right, but I can seriously see this ending in a reluctant announcement of retirement.
The fact no one can seem to predict the week to week results with any accuracy at all has me pessimistic.
A healthy Brown is what the Tiges need. A Brown who might be available some time this year, is really more harm to the side than anything else.

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
I know man... How I would love to watch brownie run back in the yellow and black. Sure Blinga "Tambling" is doing a great job playing our small forward, but the guy needs to put that through all 4 qts. geeze I love brownie. The guy has prolly only got about 3-4 year max left in him.. being 29 and suffered from such a major injury. But when he come back it'll make me happy hahaha

Re:Nathan Brown Reply to this message
He is exactly what we need right now, but based on the information on the tigers website I would suggest we get used to not having him for awhile. Devastating!

The tiger's web page has an article up now:
http://richmondfc.com.au/Season2007/News/NewsArtic le/tabid/6301/Default.aspx?newsId=42348

The title: No Time Frame on Brown's Return: Wallace

I'd say he's pretty long odds for this week :)

I really hope he can get back some time this year.
