Memberships surge in Tiger Centenary year
RSSFont downFont largerPrint2:41 PM Fri 14 March, 2008
The Tigers have just clicked over the 25,000 mark and are on target to break their all-time membership record, set in 2007, provided they get away to a good start in the â08 season.
âIt is particularly pleasing for the Club to have signed 25,000 fully-ticketed members at this point of the campaign. We are currently well ahead of the same time last year, which is very positive, but we need this to continue.
âWe have just over 7000 ticketed members yet to renew from 2007, and we also are keen to attract new members into the fold, in what is a significant year for the Club, as we celebrate our VFL/AFL Centenary. The events and opportunities for members in this Centenary year will be especially significant and unique. With this in mind, Tiger supporters need to make sure theyâre on board as members to fully capitalise.
âIt is also pertinent to note that if we as a Club want to stamp ourselves as one of the Melbourne-based powers of the competition, we have to push well beyond 30,000 members, which we achieved for the first time last year. |
