unfortunately port power have to live with the fact that we acquire young players from other clubs that arent in the mold of what port adelaide has been for years. the hard tough approach we use to have really is a thing of the past.

mark williams isnt interested in josh carr?

well he better acquire the likes of daniel kerr or someone in the same ilk if he doesnt want carr, cos one more season like we have just had and there will be an exodus of players as well as fans.

we dont tolerate not playing finals football, nor do we want players who go in half hearted at the ball. the crop of youngsters have potential, but to me there is still a problem at the club.

get rid of the likes tony mcguiness and kingsley obviously is not the type of assistant we want. bring in some proven talented people. we got money, and ever since 2004, those who we got as assistants are really just hangers on for a job in football.

brogan and lade are capable ruckmen. why give primus a job? oh for service to the club? he can be an active part in the club with just being around it, dont have to give him a job teaching ruckmen i feel have done more than he ever did.

port is filled with people who dont really know what port adelaide is all about, and even after years of playing for the club, they still dont seem to understand it.

time to bring in TRUE PORT ADELAIDE PEOPLE.

get back cunningham at the club, or even bring in jack cahill as a youth development coach. get josh carr there for a year, after that let him work with the younger generation. id have wilson and carr there to instill that hard nut approach. when i watch port magpies play, at least i see the old passion in the players. the sanfl is quite an even competition these days and not easy, and ginever at least has slowly started to bring fans good hard football.

maybe williams should go and watch a few magpie games again instead of having his head up his backside.

doesnt want josh carr?

get kerr ...

The way things are going we will probably spend the next 1-2 years in the bottom 8 as our younger players develop. There is potential in our defensive line but they are inexperienced and need to toughen up.

we will see about brizzy defence once Merret,Roe and J.Mac back. Merret had two less goals kicked on him directly than the all aussie fullback D.Glass so how bout that eh POrt also won more games but had 150 more pionts kicked on them than brizzy who finished with the 5th best defence in the league so please don`t start with the lions defence.Look it up I speak only the truth freedirt86

You're sounding a bit petulant there, Jed. It's already been agreed here that Port's defence is their weakest point. Obviously they need Chaplin, Carlyle, Thurstans, etc. to improve...whether they can stand up sufficiently well remains to be seen.

And by the way, I don't think Brisbane's defence would be filling anyone with too much confidence either.

You win games by kicking goals.

We have good midfield and forward lines and a few versatile players. What's there to worry about?
