read the last line of this post you left in another thread aytakk---i was at the port v lions game, and you should have heard your fellow port supporters booing your team from the time brisbane hit the front till your team walked off the ground, it was disgracful !!!!!!!!

"Was only joking about Port Collingwood and Carlton aytakk, especially Port. I'm a Crows supporter. wish they would have done some close ups on Port supporters in the last 1/4 yesterday. lol Heart in your mouth aytakk?"

Yeah - a Crows supporter is as likely to follow Port as a Port supporter is as likely to follow the Crows.

All that negative football made me think we'd lose it but we hung on. Now we got that monkey off our back who knows what will happen.

At least our supporters weren't booing our own team! :P

I don't see us making the top 4 anyway. We will do well to make the 8 at all.

This game will test our character to see if we have what it takes.

4 quarter effort is needed this week to get your season on track the saints will stretch your defence with Train and Nicky R lucky Kozi will be rucking most of the game as port has no third tall defender of quality as a matter of fact they really have no quality tall defenders at all good luck power lose this week and no top 4 imo maybe 7th or 8th

St Kilda next week so we will have to lift our game.

If we do that slow down chip around stuff against them we will be murdered! Its going to be hard enough just making a contest of it let alone getting the 4 points.

I think you are right aytakk, we should have crushed them. Embarassing to watch them play that ridiculous chip around rubbish when they should be keeping their foot on the neck. Still a win is a win, and there are some encouraging signs. Ebert and Westhoff finally touched the ball which is good to see. Our defence is shocking, need Wilson back big time IMO. We're not that far away.

First win yet potential wasted. Reply to this message
Finally we have a win on the board. How did we get it - bursts of fast attacking football, same as we used to win last year. Then they go with all that posession rubbish and lose valuable percentage in the last quarter. They also did it at the last minute or so of the 1st and 3rd quarters too whilst wasting a chance to get another goal on the board. In one case the starting kick was made from just outside out attacking 50 and ended up going across the centre square. Stupid, stupid play!

It was a good confidence booster for players like Ebert and Westhoff. I thought Krakaur did well too - Pearce will need to fight to get his spot back. Kane Cornes did an excellent job shutting down Kerr.
