| Regarding the cokkiness if the players refuse to learn from their mistakes and Choko doesn't grill em for it he's part of the problem too. Choko is such an unpredictable coach though. At times you think he's brilliant but others you are there screaming at your TV to stop being so stubborn and try something different because we're being killed. |

| We have the talent, just need to mold it into skills. As far as forward lines go I think we're pretty strong. What we lack is consistancy in a few players like Motlop. When he's on fire he's amazing. Losing the grand final by so much (if we had to lose it) was probably the best thing for us. It taught the players some humility and to never be cokky. It also shows what level we have to be at to win as Geelong will be just as strong this year and other teams are getting stronger too. |

| I think the only change to the defence from previous games was that Damon White played down there, did pretty well apparently. | Geez mate, take a chill pill. Its only the pre-season. If we go down, we go down - little I can do about it. I'm not going to worry until there's a possibility of it happening. Maybe we were lucky last year. As far as I was concerned we were still in rebuild mode last year anyway. Oh and shouting (all caps) just makes your post hard to read and shows your lack of maturity. Worry about your own team bedfore you worry about ours. |

| Its a pre-season game, like we care. As I said earlier if we are 2-3 or less after round 5 then its time to worry. Until then let the boys play their game. |

| Look at who we had out though playing Carlton - Lade, Cornes brothers, Burgoyne brothers, Thurstans, Ebert plus Tredrea and Brogan only played half the game. Thats something like 1/2 the starting lineup not even utilised. I think Tredrea was the only player over 25 too. Port is using the pre-season the way it should be used. That being to prepare for the real deal. Our goal isn't to win the pre-season games but to try out the young guys, maybe swap some positions around and build up for a serious premiership charge. |

| Defense is looking like the major issue for Port, a real lack of reliability down there. They might have to return Chad Cornes to CHB but he's usually needed in the midfield which lacks grunt. Judging by the first couple of games, Port have to hope they have another good run with injuries because the youngsters didn't show much at all...if they need to play some of their rookies during the year they'll be in strife. |

| Our defense does suck. Why we didn't spend more time recruiting defenders and we let go of Symes (a defender) is beyond me. At least they are trying to toughen up this year. |
