Well, so much for all that! No players picked up by Port, only pick 28 for offloading Symes.

Port do need a third tall forward to stand up but I'm not convinced Schultz in the answer. I thought he was a better fit for the Crows too. Don't agree with him being better than White...White has been generally disappointing but Schultz has done nothing at Richmond. White hasn't been traded as yet.

do the names pickett and johnwilly-sorry cant say his last name-plays for crows-- ring a bell?-both had a bit of trouble with the bottle and cars, but put it behind them to play good footy-sometimes it pays to give a 2nd chance, where are they gonna play schulz-i thought the crows would of been better served with him, damon white couldnt get into the port side, and with all respect is schulz much better???just a thought from someone who follows a team who hasnt had a full forward for ten years, and port has too many that they cant get game time-will schulz be able to get a game and if so what happens to white, has he been traded?

I thought that a little strange too taking someone without a proven record that has a past history of drink driving. But who knows they have done extremely well with their draft pick-ups so far. But irrespective of the Grand final loss they did finish second which is a great result for a young team. They didn't finish last as the Port messanger would have you think.

Apparently Port is to take Jay Schultz from Richmond for a second round draft pick. Seems a bit strange to pick up someone who hasn't really performed at all while letting Damon White go. And I'm still hoping to see Ryan Willits get a go next season, hope he's not on the outer too.

maybe they could buy a macca's store for westoff like they did Wanganeen and hopefully he will eat the profits and put some bulk on over summer!
I think all he is missing is a bit of bulk and he should be a goer! |

It seems Damon White has asked to be traded, being "frustrated" by limited opportunities. He should be frustrated with himself for having been around so long but never doing enough to cement his place in the side. Having said that, Port need a third key forward to stand up, it was ridiculous expecting Westhoff to continue holding down a key position, he should have been the third tall option. There doesn't seem to be anyone threatening to make their mark next year though, so Port would probably be better served hanging onto White if they can.
