| Perth viewers ripped off again. AFL is on every week, Olympics every 4 years. Kerry Stokes should never return to this state again! Pathetic that we have to endure the "Heroes of Beijing" promos ad nauseum and it won't even be shown here! That stupid Rebecca Wilson on "Yum Cha" yesterday was telling viewers that Steve Hooker's medal ceremony was on at 7.15pm, "that's 9.15pm- AUSTRALIAN time" Hey, news flash Perth is in AUSTRALIA! Same time zone. All those poor Eastern states viewers who have to be constantly reminded of the two hour time difference but it is never stated "Perth time". Filmed in HD but what was the point with the disjointed, piece meal, dummed down coverage. Truly pathetic all round. Thank God for ABC radio and being able to follow live results updating on the official Beijing website for the diving last night. I hate free to air TV. Thank goodness for Foxtel! |

| may i suggest you do a youtube parody of the coverage...you could no doubt do a better job...and in better quality than 7yahoos can. You could even get Tamsyn and Pat Welsh to play themselves coz theyre never gonna get a start on a real track again.. I bet youd get more hits than 7yahoos. |

| Friend of mine from the US said they're getting blanket 24/7 coverage by NBC on 3 full HD channels over yonder. Looking at their schedule at their site, http://www.nbcolympics.com/tv_and_online_listings/ zone=PT it's no wonder the discerning viewers who have grumbled on this site and many others have been short-changed. Stokes' comments about the broadcast being "excellent" just reeks of pure arrogance. Ch7 had what, 7 years (since the Beijing announcement) of preparation to lobby the gov't to get an exemption on the multi-cast laws with their multiple digital channels and negotiate AFL broadcasting with their competitors to take up the slack during a premier global once-in-4-year event. If they think that only a few hundred disgruntled posters actually make up the demographic, I can safely say that among my circle of family and friends, we all share the same sentiment, and of the 100 or so, I'm the only one venting my disappointment on this board. If this is a similar example of the demographic of annoyed viewers, I'm sure to keep spreading the gospel of hate on Ch7 to ensure they NEVER get away with this excuse for "quality coverage". |

| Unfortunately for the athletes and their families many events were not live, pole vault, diving, so when Australia won Gold for the first time ever we are watching the complete long distance running. Can't imagine having to be a family member stuck in Australia trying to see whether your relative is doing well. In a digital world what every happened to split screen, show the running in a small box while.... Truly this is the worst game coverage I have ever seen; in a digital world where it should have been the best. Even Bruce Mc who I really like did the most boring commentary of the swimming on record. Sorry Seven, hope 2012 is sold to 10 |

| Okay. Let's see how hard it is. Hmmm...just for a start... Let's cut out the endless slo-mo montages, replays and intro footage, the wasted time crossing to that dull studio, how about shelving those self-promo adverts for next week's boring shows, bin yum-cha, cut out footage of competitors wandering around pre-start, that will create time for live events. Oh and get those communication lines tightened up to enable live crosses when the action is happening to fill that time. Now get on with producing a slick, professional exciting sporting event coverage, not a ten-day magazine infomercial. |

| which event were they meant to show live - the diving, the track events including both 4x 400 relays, the men's 800 & other races, the javelin, the rhythmic gymnastics? all those events were on at the same time last night, and you can't show every event live, if you went to the games you couldn't see every event that people on here keep requesting to see, how about instead of complaining about it you recommend solutions because then you might see how hard it is to have to show as many events as possible on 1 station. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| With all respect to the divers, I am so sick of that swimming pool. I really want to see more of the mountain biking. If 7 ca't show it, whay can't they give it to SBS? I am going to watch the Men's Football final on SBS. No Aussies in it, but at least I can enjoy a professional coverage. |
