| There I was, ready for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad. For the 1st time could watch it all as a member of the world-wide audience. The Opening Ceremony soon to begin. My 40" LCD HD TV was ready, my comfy chair beckoned, no work for 2 weeks, fridge crammed with food/drinks, wine rack stuffed with good reds/crisp whites, fast pc+bdbd at elbow, dogs fed, donation paid to Getup for Tibet ad (which got pulled by 7 anyway), family/friends ready to drop in anytime, pizzas on speed-dial. Yep, I was ready for the full thrilling Olympic TV experience. I forgot one thing. Freakin' channel 7 was the broadcaster. |

| Seven you have been absolutely hopeless in your coverage and should be ashamed. It amazes me that these supposedly intelligent people obviously don't listen to what people really want which is SPORT!!!!!!. Not 10 minute montages of past events we have seen 100 times already followed by 10 minute adds and then maybe (if we are luck) 5 minutes of sport. | 7 are such urchins that they didnt even *allow* SBS to show any of these great events they either simply didnt show because they are too arrogant stupid and pig headed They are so darned malicious that they take rights to these events then simply step all over them. | Looks like Perth viewers never got to see the basketball final game. Instead Ch7 decided to show the footy, then just had to endure 30 minutes of news, and now we're on track to the closing ceremony and completely missing out on the basketball etc. Too bad there aren't any other events on for me to switch to SBS for some quality broadcasting. |

| How bad is the Olympic coverage!!! Got a decent coverage of the men's basketball bronze match (well expect for the ads...oh, and the cutting in and out of game play), I was excited and eagerly awaited the men's gold basketball match. After getting comfortable and getting into a very close game between Spain & USA, Seven dumped their coverage half way through for the football. I guess I'll never know what happen, which will be even more frastrating if Spain wins! What a disgrace!!! Give the coverage to a decent channel like the SBS who will actually respect their audience and show a whole game. Down with Seven! |

| Completely agree, not only are other states going to lose the Gold Medal coverage of the baskteball, but they put 3 minute ads in during the match. Funny that they didn't do it during the swimming! | The available digital technology parameters aside (and they're of paramount relevance to this issue of course,) there can not be a quality broadcast of a live event such as the Olympics unless the encumbent TV network recognizes up front that they are catering to intelligent, reasoning viewers, who have an expectation that they won't be treated like a mob of sheep and force fed drivel. Not only has Ch7 fed us drivel, but they have been so patently and relentlessly inconsiderate of their audience that, no matter how we independently sought to access the schedules of events, they provided NO ZILCH NIET ZERO prior advice as to when any particular event would be telecast. On top of this, they seem not to understand that an audience has a right to know, particularly during an Olympics coverage, if any particular vision is "live" or not! Irrespective of Kerry Stokes' predictable self-serving "glowing" self-analysis of Ch7's efforts, the proof's in the pudding, and I invite him or one of his lick-spittles to respond to this entry and attempt to rebuff anything I've said..... |
