| True. Let's face it. Watching 7 gives them the ratings they require to charge advertisers a fortune for airtime (and hence bid the most amount to capture the broadcasting rights in the future). Unless you have one of the set-top boxes that help calculate the ratings you may as well watch 7... But out of principle, I'm still watching SBS. Quite a good Archery comp on at the moment. |

| How could Seven choose to show a puff piece on some historical equestrian thing instead of showing the FINAL of the men's cycling team Spring. Having just been worked up with the excitement of seeing Australia miss out on bronze by 0.008s I was looking forward to the final between GB and France. I'm disgusted. Well Done Seven. I'm now watching SBS. And taking my live results feed form the BBC website. It updates within seconds of the result. Not as confusing as the 7 website. | Utterly woeful, Seven, you are a disgrace to the broadcast community. Having skimmed through the 40-odd pages of comments, it appears that one week in, Seven still treats viewers with contempt. I am utterly appalled at their audacity to broadcast yet another AFL match, LIVE, played by two teams I couldn't care about. Meanwhile, Day 8 has progressed with dozens of events taking place, and all we've had are endless repeats of the same disappointing performances from our swimmers, among more repeats of YESTERDAY'S gold medal. Oh wait, it's a merchandise promo. Oh, and the umpteenth station promo for some pathetic "acclaimed drama" (acclaimed by WHOM? themselves??), endless slow-motion Olympic Games "splash cuts" - OK, we get the idea it's in Beijing, they're Chinese, they love banging the drums, but to spend 2 minutes every 15 is a bit much. Channel 7, shame on you. (At least SBS have the professionalism of showing other Olympic events, not just Australians competing, but other nations having a go. It seems that SBS have captured the Australian spirit a lot more than Seven has. KUDOS, SBS. Keep up the good work.) |

| Why do we have an interstate football match on tonight instead of the Olympics? I can accept them showing an Eagles or Dockers game here in Perth but 7pm coverage of a Port and Collingwood game when the Olympics is on is just not acceptable. | I saw on the news they had tvs on trains/stations in Beijing to cover the games...7 can't even do decent normal tv coverage. And apparently in China you can watch ANY (you name it...ANY) sport you want cuz of all the channels...awesome.
