| There's nothing in the program about it. Lots of rowing and cycling, and they are showing the finals only of some athletics events. Excuse me for overworking the word but -- pathetic. SBS has tennis from 7.30-9.30 pm then table tennis. |

| I think most of the Opals matches have been shown on 7, they have had some good track coverage from the 1st couple of days. I understand them not showing sailing, even though we are doing well in it, even the commentators have said its not the most viewer friendly sport because it can be extremely slow depending on wind conditions. Just be nice to see some baseball, didn't even know that was still at the Olympics this yr. |

| giving the footy to foxtel wouldn't have made people without foxtel happy. Would 10 even want the extra footy match? They have they own program schedule and it might have conflicted with that - its only 2.5 hours out of Olympic coverage and any medals that the Aussies win during that time will be replayed 100 times over like the rest of the medals so in reality nothing will be missed. | The argument that 7 not showing the opals is making them play better is ridiculous. How can you be into that rubbish superstition cra p. Whether it was shown on TV or not would have NO bearing on their result. In adelaide, we get at least 1 live footy game a week on 7. And slightly delayed coverage of 2 other games. As I said, 7 could easily have handballed their coverage (excuse the pun) to fox or ten this week to keep everyone happy. But they are obviously just a bunch of tools. |

| I actually answered all your questions - I support the Cats but watch as many footy matches as possible regardless of the form of the teams - a sports fan does that. Some of the footy matches shown on tv it might be those 2 teams 1st meeting at that venue for 3 or 4yrs if not longer and that can have a big impact on the results of the match. I watch the Opals - the only sports that I went to when the Commonwealth games were on was the basketball - tried to go to as many sessions of that as possible & was lucky enough to be able to watch the Opals in one of those sessions. My argument about them not doing well while it was being shown on tv has been proved true actually - they showed the end of the 1st quarter & majority of the 2nd quarter on tv, where they scored 25pts for the half. They take coverage of that off & put the footy on and they score 30pts in the 3rd quarter goes to show they played better without being on tv. If 7 caved in to the demands of people who were only Olympic fans then there would be many p*ssed off footy fans - this is basically the only fortnight this yr that 7 has shown footy live & its fantastic as a sports fan to be able to get that coverage because it won't happen again & the G/F and that is if 7 has it, otherwise I doubt there will be live footy on 7 for the next couple of yrs. |

| Brat, t5hanks for not answering any of the questions I posed in my post. Firstly every 4 years versus 4-5 times every week, looks pretty simple to me. Secondly whether we are winning or not is irrelevant. I am a real sports fan and I want to support the opals win or lose, thanks to the disgrace/abysmal excuse channel 7 is for a tv station i can't do that. Thirdly, we have staged an awesome comeback and are now up 16 in the 4th quarter so your whole argument about us not doing well is even more irrelevant now. Seriously, there is a way everyone could've been happy this arvo but thanks to 7 and their general inconsideration for everyone but their advertisers and their own pockets, we get ****ed over AGAIN. To think 7's coverage has been anything short of appalling, your IQ has to be that of <7. |

| 7 has matches scheduled to showed into Vic on both Friday night, 7:30 - 10:30pm, and also Sunday afternoon, 3 - 6pm. | I understand that they have to obligation to stand by their contract and show the AFL but didnt they bid to SHOW the Olympics. If they had no intention of showing the Olympics then offload them (and not just the lesser sports). are 7 going to show the AFL next week as the Olympics nears its end??? There will be an even bigger outcry if they do. Thankfully this should be the last time we will receive sub-standard olympic coverage in this country. |

| Actually I don't support either the Blues or North - I am a Cats supporter and am interested in watching it because it will go along way to deciding who the Cats play week 1 of the final. I'm sure that Swans & Crows fans are also interested in the results of this match because it really is down to the Crows, North & Swans for who finish 4th. I will watch 4 matches of footy a week, regardless of who is playing as long as its a good exhibition of footy, I would love to be watching the Hawks vs Tigers game also on today but don't have foxtel - it seems another cracker of a match. As for the basketball - its one of the main sports I enjoy watching at the Olympics but we were losing once 7 started to show the match - so no problems with them putting something else on. |

| Brat, I'm in Adelaide, i have no care for this match whatsoever and I doubt many others here do either. I can see 4 or 5 AFL matches on TV every week but I can only see olympic basketball - the best and most purest type of basketball every 4 years. You obviously seem to be one of those bandwagonners who only like watching your team if their winning then, it sounds like your probably chosing 7's programming then. Seriously, letting fox or ten show this game while the olympics are on wouldn't be that hard. Its and absolute joke. |

| The Opals were doing better in the basketball until it started airing - so maybe its a good thing they took it off to show the AFL.
